The players seemed to call him, Dave!

excellent report. Very in depth and full of information for anybody who gives a toss about City's reserve team!

No but its nice to know who we were playing for the record. Not that I'm any the wiser. Pity one of our own remains a mystery.

I don't think the players knew who he was, as I heard Cav grunting at him, rather than saying any words.

BTW.... does anyone know who played at Rossendale today and how we went on?

We won 3-2 & Leighton scored 2.
All I know from that I'm afraid.

At Rossendale the first half team included:
Ian Dunbavin
Phil Edwards
Leam Richardson
David Brown
Leighton McGivern

The rest of the team was made up of youth team players and a couple of trialists. (I think Bobby Grant was on the bench)

At half time it was 2-2 with McGivern scoring both goals. After the City game Coley said they had won 3-2, but I couldn't find out the scorer. Apologies.

A sound display today. Made me laugh when Fearon came on and their number 4 (Obeng?) was shouting to everyone, "he'll bottle it!" Fortunately, he didn't!

We had a french trialist for a couple of weeks but he was let go. Possibly the same bloke doing the rounds ?

Quite possibly. He looked like he'd played a bit, but it's hard to tell from the little we've seen of him.

What's John McGreal up to? Maybe he'd do a job for us for a season? Decent defender and lots of experience, plus he's a Scouser. :D

Just been turned down by Colchester. They wanted him but JM was looking for a longer deal than they were offering.

This is the Frenchman who played against you in the match at the FES. Somebody going to blow my theory out of the water and tell me the one who played today is white :D

He was a black player, but I can't say that's him. It's hard to tell with that shirt on ;)
