Back on Track
Against Posh the wheels came off, Coleman has got shot of the dead wood, look at Darlington's league position and in all honesty there is no disgrace in going down 1-0, think about it, the defence held their collective nerve, some teams would have fallen into pieces after such an early goal. Well done Accy , we will soon get back to winning ways very soon

Re: Back on Track
Some of you lot are demented. We are in a great positon I would take every year. What do you honestly expect? Promotion? IMHO recent success has made people greedy, expecting us to roll over everybody every game. Face facts. Accringtion Stanley without major investment can never be the Premier League club you all dream of.
FFS Rochdale have been here for over 30 years and what makes us think we have a divine right to be higher then them? Thank God you're not a Wrexham, Mansfield, Bradford fan etc. Huge clubs who have fallen from place. Then you would know failure. Even if we turned it round and got promoted - some of you would still be moaning next year, just as you did last and the year before it. im not saying were not entitlked to moan at times, but the level of negativity on here is beyond a joke. I accept its a different mentality of fan who goes along these days. When we were in the NLP, nobody ever moaned, we sorta enjoyed being crap and it was a good crack. Nowadays everyone who has "discovered" Stanley (thanks to Coley) wants more and more glory each season like they have been accustomed to. Where is the atmosphere of the old Stanley gone. The sing song, the pint and the half time pie - win lose or draw? The negative vibe can really be felt around the ground on matchdays, despite us heading for our highest football League finish for 46 years. York, Exeter, Cambridge, Oxford - all these huge clubs would give their right arm to be where we are and all we do is moan. Folk just dont know when they have a good thing. |

Re: Back on Track
so what's the answer then?
numerous people just want to moan. numerous people just want to be positive. numerous people don't give a hoot one way or the other. numerous people don't post anymore because it is just moan, moan, moan. If you wanna moan then do it, if you don't like the moaners then don't join in and help to expand the thread, if you don't post because AW is crap nowadays then you need to join back in and create some of the threads that you'd rather see - block the people whose posts you don't want. If the more positive people, or more generally talkative people stay away then all we are left with is the moaning. There is nowhere else to go to chat Stanley - this is the forum. The OSC site is not used for anything other than OSC stuff, the Ultras site is used by three or four people a couple of times a week, Vital is used by tosspot numpties who support other teams. Where do you wanna chat? do you wanna filter the neg vibes out? As a body of fans we need to try to create the better vibe where possible and if it can't be done here then find other media with which to do it. Not enough people can be arsed though so we all end up talking tripe on here day after day. One of the more positive things that has happened recently is the OSC exhibition, but how many of you have offered your services with collecting stories or memorabilia? how many have offered their own stories? how many have offered memorabilia? how many of you turned up for the launch? Not bloody many is how many. How many will moan that it is not as good as expected? We were offered a column in the telegraph (fans forum thingy) but about four people volunteered to offer up to 50 words a week. The Observer would gladly give us a letter to the Sports Editor page - if enough people could be arsed to write a letter. Radio Lancs has a weekly fans panel and offers listeners the chance to ring or text in, but because nobody does they have to ring one of us (3 maybe 4 on a rota) to get any sort of view. Lets everybody get off their high horses and start writing letters. ...or can you not be arsed? |

Re: Back on Track
two great posts from alvin and macca.
I think what we need on here is a balanced view...yes lets moan, but not attack, lets celebrate but not get carried away...but most of all lets support our team, management and club |
