Where Are The Season Tickets?

I don't wish to appear impatient, but it's now 8 days to the start of the season and there is still not a word from the club about the season tickets. As far as I'm aware, other clubs (including non-league ones) have theirs by now. Yet not only are ours nowhere to be seen, but the club have said nothing about when they will be available. What's going on?

Maybe they'll announce it when they eventually update the website? Where's the news, where's the build up, where's the excitement?

8 Days to go!!....!!!!!

Remember the thread TM??...Like you I am totally disappointed i n, and mystified by the lack of enthusiasm displayed by the Club via the Fishy Site!.
It's no wonder that in another thread devoted fans of 'the Reds' were making similar comments about their lack of interest!!
Like Wyn says, it is far too late to attempt to convey to those waiting for Season Tickets
, any acceptable reason for the hold-up...This is what I meant by 'lack of quality'..what will 'New' Fans who have bought theirs
think of this apparent lack of concern !, or information regarding their purchases!.

'What me Worry'.....I'm beginning to !

I do indeed remember your thread YM.

I expected some sort of update to the site today, perhaps telling potential travelling fans what sort of squad will be turning up at Barrow tomorrow. It's a fair trek up there to see the youth team turn out. I tried ringing the club earlier, but there was no answer. Looks like a closed shop at the FES.

I was luckier than you, TM...I phoned and got a reply - I was told that the season tickets will be arriving on Tuesday. So, why have the club not put that on t'fishy site...along with a summary of the Burnley match, the promised "report pending" from the Burscough match, at least a little bit of info about the behind-closed-doors Huddersfield match and, as you say, a pre-match run down on the Barrow match?

Any football club's official site is its window on the world - a vitally important channel of communication to "sell" the club to casual and potential fans, whilst ensuring that regular fans feel a part of the club they love. So why is the Stanley site so lacking in information?

How long have we been saying the same thing Wynonie? Nothing ever seems to change and it reaches a stage where you start thinking that either the club is ignoring the issues on purpose, or they just don't care!!

Some people see it as moaning for the sake of it, but when the same things keep happening and nothing is done about it, then frustration is bound to boil over.

I would genuinely like to hear the club's take on this, but as they seem to ignore us (apart from the valiant bridge-building efforts of Southern Red and Touchline TV), then I don't suppose there's much chance. Sad really, as Stanley have had a good publicity boost with the exhibition and the reportedly healthy season ticket sales show that there is potential support out there. If the club had the slightest idea about publicity and Google Page Ranking, they would now be building on this. But they don't, so they aren't.

Can there be any club in the whole football league with such a pathetic lack of news/info coming from its website as ours offers? At this stage in last season's build up I remarked on the lack of discussion on this messageboard, suggesting that such apathy might be a warning sign of diminishing gates, as we all know it eventually was. I can't see it being any better this season. Why on earth shouild we have to rely on the Burscough website to get a report of the game at theirs, ffs? Sickening.

Just thought I would remind you of what you posted back in May!

"You cannot be serious! Paid for mine in readies before the Daggers match and not expecting it until the second home match of the season. :D"

I think you've hit the nail on the head, for those not wearing those red tinted Stanley specs the whole set up is a joke. I wonder what our new sponsors think of it?

What surprises me is how little the club have used the exhibition to promote the new season. For example, if it were me in charge of promotion at the club I would have delivered some memorabilia to sell, i would have had a big fixture list printed and put at the entrance to the exhibition, i would have had some vouchers printed for discounts at games and i would have used the back drop of the exhibition to launch the new shirts or to sign people up for season tickets.

We've had over 1,000 people through the doors of the exhibition in the space of two weeks - surely these people are prime for promoting to!

i quite agree with you, if they had done something, like vouchers, posters etc, than even if only 50 people out of the 1,000 or so, went to a few of the first home games, thats 50 more people that might turn up next home game, thats 50 more people that are putting money into the club, gate fee, shirt, etc, more people better facilities.

only 7 days left. what will this season bring
