I'd love to but finances are tighter than Eric's wallet at the moment. Even had to miss some of my own teams 'extra' games recently. Hopefully they will get him back in the future and I can discuss with Dobbo how he felt knowing I named my hamster after him all those years ago :)

I'll be there, but not on the AccyWeb table. I do have a reputation to uphold, after all. ;)

Sorry folks, I should have posted this before, but been busy with the seats.

Due to the ongoing fixture congestion we have decided to move the dinner to the end ot the season.

New date to be announced soon!!:)

The Sportsman's is cancelled at less than a week's notice and yet, with just over four days to go, the decision to cancel still hasn't been posted on the Fishy site. And that's despite having removed the link to this forum!

The club really are taking the "mushroom theory" of supporter treatment to new heights.

Hope the new date won't clash with the presentation night?

It would seem theres enough people bending over and taking it so as not to really matter.

Thats a very good point accymad, the end of season presentation night is usually the last sat home game of the season:rolleyes:

To stress the point the Sportsman's Dinner is being run by the Directors (not the full time staff at the FES) I have never requested that the dinner be advertised on the site. Two reason's; firstly it would need contact details and I don't want the clubstaff dealing with enquiries and secondly I don't really want my personnal contact details broadcasting on the internet. The PM system has worked fine for me.
If anything this "treatment" of supporters is down to ME alone. Now I really feel it's rather unfair to level that at me!!!

With regards to the presentation, I am lead to believe that it will take place on the 25th of April, after the last home game v Chesterfield. I plan for the dinner to be held after this date:)

TM levels a complaint towards the clubs treatment of fans and your response is..its the directors of the club and not the club. I am obviously missing something here..
