Perhaps this should have been said to your parents.!!!!

The whole "we did not expect this much frost" argument does not wash with me.

Its the principle of the matter.

You've got a lot of injuries, and replaying at a later date gives you a better chance. Any idiot with half a brain can see through the excuses like glass.

Bearing this in mind, I hope we absolutely murder you when the match is played, I'd have taken a draw today.

Oooooo tuchie fella arn't you:rolleyes: you'l just have to do what we'l have to do go shopping with the wife in stead;):D

So I suppose it's bordering on the sub tropical up there in the North East is it ???

Take a look at the games off section on Ceefax.I think you'll find that the cold snap hasn't just been isolated to Accrington !!

Re: Pitch Inspection

When I got up at 0740 said the match would be off.

At minus 5 the ground was bound to be frozen for much or all of the day. Covers could only have reduced the incidence of surface frost.

Sounds like the squad would have been pretty thin though clearly the postponement will do nothing for the coffers:

Accrington Stanley fail to sign in time (From Lancashire Telegraph)

Portsmouth off for frozen pitch, wonder if the Man City fans will be e-mailing them and accusing them off being incompetant or cheating

Good point as well Lancsdave, a Premiership Team/Ground also!!!

Must be because they have sold Defoe or something(according to Quakerz logic!!!) Can't put out a decent Team.

Bunch of amateurs, and with your injuries it probably suits to have it called off.

They'll be saying "oh it was warmer the last couple of days and we didn't anticipate the frost last night"....they were planting the seeds for this yesterday because they knew deep down that it would freeze and they could play the "caught out" card....."well how were we supposed to know? we had no frost the previous couple of days...."

Shocking behaviour from Stanley.

Bit of an over reaction don't you think -it's not as if we called it after your lot had set off for the game and as someone else has said it would've been better for us to play today rather than on a Tuesday night as it will probably now be, as no doubt not as many away fans will be able to attend a midweek match.
We're all disappointed it's off but slagging us off isn't going to change the referee's decision, to be honest I was expecting us to be tubbed today but if thats your attitude then yes I hope the rearranging of this game does work in our favour!
