Leighton James didn't get sacked from Stanley, he handed in his resignation after being promoted at work.
He said: "The club have been nothing but fair with me. I haven't got a bad word to say about Stanley, the club has treated me absolutely marvellously."

I must say that if things had been different at the start of this season - points deduction stuff - I believe strongly that EW and JC would have gone about things differently! But we have what we have and in my opinion Eric's gamble has paid off, he has not got us into any stupid debt, and I have to say (sorry Grimps if you do not agree) but the footy at The F.E.S. HAS been better thus far this season and with a bit less nievaty on Coley's part, we would have at least 10-12 more points on the board and I would not be posting this reply.... :):)

Bring on The Hatters :D:D:D
