Don't forget that the pair didn't operate 'on a shoestring' for the earlier parts of their time at Stanley. It's only been in more recent times that things have got much, much harder.

The problem with testimonial matches is that they are historically badly attended affairs and do little for the people concerned.

I fully agree that something needs to be done to celebrate the landmark and would attend anything that was arranged.

Have a big disco :theband: on the pitch! "pre-season" Get a little stage built like when they have bands playing at football grounds, get a karaoke as we all know Coley likes a song or two! All Players, Ex Players that Coley and Jimmy have brought in Craney, Roberts etc and Fans invited! This way everyone can come! Sure they can get a bar built with beer barrells available from The Crown Pub and Buy The House Lounge! What could be better nice hot sunny say :cool: on the Crown ground with Coley and Jimmy and every other stanley fan celebrating the long rein of the management team and long may it continue!

that sounds like a nailed on idea BUT, as I found out when I tried to do the open day, we would need to pay a fee of around £2k to get a special 'safety certificate' if the ground is used for anything other than its designated purpose.

Maybe some kind of reading matter could be done,
charting the Season's under the "Dynamic Duo" with photos & contributions from past & present players, fellow managers & fans alike?:)

Ironically one of the first t-shirts we made was a Dynamic Duo sample t-shirt to show the club shop what we could do. Better go dig it out :D

Have only been at Stanley for last 7 yrs, but I remember going to Jamie's & was as disappointed as he must have been, to see so few 'supporters' there.

saying that, I would still attend JC & JB's, & thank them for all they have done for ASFC

think if they use there good offices n get some Premiership stars to take part in a game, along with ex-stanley players, that would be the best chance to get a reasonable gate, which fer em is whats needed.:) just my thoughts.

you wouldnt get many to see stanley ultras v first team... hardly anyone showed up the last time they played each other... Ultras v Accrington Stanley

cashy thats ahwt we did lastt ime. mish mash of players and the response was poor

play a decent team who will bring fans.. not a mixture of players .. thats the way to get people through the gate
