Re: Sky news players charged bury game
This may please some on here but I think Rocky has gone.
He was asked back by text to start pre season training but was really upset that was the first thing he heard throughout the summer. He's considering other offers that have been put to him, possibly meaning he can play at the highest level part time and further his career away from football. Regardless of what you think about whether he should be in the team at the moment, for me this is a sad day. Rocky's been a great servant who has been with us since the Unibond and played a big part in putting us back on the map. If it is true, I find it sad for me that his Stanley career has petered out like this. |
Re: Sky news players charged bury game
:) Ageed he has been a good servent but also a silly lad as well to place him self and the club in such a situation in the first place, having said that text messaging is todays way of contacting players and remember he is out of contract with stanley.although Cav did report back to pre-season training should tell you hes getting on with things:)my thoughts only:)

My Accrington Stanley career is over, says Williams Lancashire Telegraph - Accrington Stanley

Re: Sky news players charged bury game
It's sad to read this about Rocky, although it does say he's supposed to be training with another club soon. If so, best wishes to him for the future, and thanks for all he did for Stanley.

10 years of service and to be 'released' without even a phone call to confirm the situation (according to Williams), then yes it is a sad end to his time at Stanley.

Re: Sky news players charged bury game
Good luck Rocky. Thanks for the service through the golden times.
It's sad that his tenure has ended the way it has. Playing (rather well) at left-back at the end of last season after the accusations came out took some guts. All the best, Jodie. |
Re: Sky news players charged bury game
:) No room for sentiment in football,as you say TM sad that his career at stanleys ended this way but like i've already said hes been a fool to him self and the club, having said that i wish him well and thank him for what hes done for Accrington Stanley in is part of the rise to the football league:)

Re: Sky news players charged bury game
Regardless of his stupidity (or not) he has been a servant for Stanley and I wish him all the best for the future. IF he is found not guilty then I feel one or two will be some what embarrassed, but it is IF??

Re: Sky news players charged bury game
Rocky will be found guilty, he won't even ending up facing a disciplinary committee, he will be exonerated before then.
He is playing for Southport tonight vs Morcambe although there are quite a few clubs after him. |
