Re: Match Thread V Oldham
When's the draw for the next round?
|
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Maybe not a great night all round, coz the news coming out of the ground at oldham is that Jimmy has broken his leg. This has only come from one of their stewards speaking to one of our fans so may not be correct and I for one hope like hell that it isn't right. Right now everything I own is crossed for Jimmy.
|
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Does anyone know when the next round is drawn???

Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Just got back from the match and it really was a game of two halfs..
we outclassed them in the second half and totally controlled the game. Jimmy Ryan's injury looked really bad from where we were sat but we couldnt see much as there were soo many people around him Even though we were at least half a pitch length away you could see he was in alot of pain. Hope he is ok! |
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
[quote=Grimps;740855 lets get one of the big clubs at home[/quote]
Well that should narrow it down a bit, Leeds, Leeds or Leeds :D |
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Your assistant manager said he'd broken something, pretty sure he said it was his knee, looked like thats what they was focussing on to.
|
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Brilliant result, but obviously marred by Jimmy's injury - couldn't really see from where we were but looked really bad with the amount of time he was down and the amount of medical people round him.
One of their stewards said it looked like it could be a compound fracture with the amount of blood there was, poor kid - am keeping everything crossed that it isn't but certainly didn't look at all good. |
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Our resident 2BR man Mr Dan Jewell is working on getting us an upate on Jimmy Ryan, apparently he's been rushed to hospital as they thought his leg was broken but as yet this is only an initial prognosis from in the stadium. Dan will be posting an upate on here as soon as he hears anything, he seems to think it'll be fairly soon so keep your eyes peeled and fingers crossed people!!!
|
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Cheers for the update Sparkie.
|
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Haha!!! nice to know my connections are of the helpful variety!!! lol
|
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Very bad news if Jimmy has broken his leg, won't be back this side of christmas. Get well soon Jimmy. but on the plus side, at least we have Joycie. Sounds a bit like Oldham tried to kick us off the park with Symes down on a couple of occasions plus to other two in the final seconds. Hope we have a team for Saturday!
|
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
good result should do confidence a power of good, only hope young ryans not as bad as feared.
|
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
It didn't look good, hope he makes a speedy recovery
|
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Great result tonight, second half performance was really good. Jimmy Ryan's injury put a bit of a damper on it though.
|
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
The general opinion on Oldham message boards is that Oldham played badly against 'a team that Uppermill could have beaten' and, anyway, it's a pointless competition. Lots of praise for the Ultras, though (once again)!
|
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Match reports from Latics' fishy site:
1st half: Oldham Athletic | News | News Update | News Update | HALF TIME REPORT: ACCRINGTON STANLEY 2nd half: Oldham Athletic | News | News Update | News Update | FULL TIME REPORT: ACCRINGTON STANLEY |
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Well heres some more news from another of my 'insiders'!!! lol
Jimmy is currently waiting for xrays, but the general feeling is that he may not have broken his leg but has sustained a serious leg wound. My source will be in contact in the morning to update me!!! lol |
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Evening
The Oldham club doctor says he thinks Jimmy has torn a muscle in the front of his leg as a result of a gash - hence the blood. He was apparently sent to hospital for x-rays as a precaution, and the initial fear was that he had in fact broken his leg. The hope is that's not the case, and we'll hear more from the club in the morning. For a few details on the injury and the other talking points on the game, go to 2br - where you'll be able to hear Coley's reaction. Dan |
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
:) Lets hope so DAN :) And thanks for the up date :)
|
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Cheers fer the link Dan.:)
|
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Crackin' result. Can we have more of the same in the league please!?
Most decent Tuesday I've had in a while, even though the Oldham whisky gave me jungle flu. Booo. Thought John Miles was bloody brilliant tonight. For me his best form always comes when he's played on the left side of midfield. As said in another thread, the new lad did well too. Hope Jimmy's alright. Well done yellow men. |
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
Over the moon when I got the result. Fantastic...sorry to read about Jimmy R-get healed quickly chum.
|
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
:) up date taken off fishy site:)..Later in the evening there was further good news from the hospital in Oldham as the club was told that midfielder Jimmy Ryan had only suffered a gashed leg in the second half after being stretchered off with a suspected fracture...:) This is very good news for Jimmy Ryan and for Stanley :)
|
Re: Match Thread V Oldham
