It's official...

Accrington Stanley given eight weeks to find £308,000 (From Lancashire Telegraph)

No mention of the ASFF though?

Yeah, but I'm sure someone said that in 1962. Let's hope Ilyas and the ASFF come to the rescue!

If the IR accepted the offer to have it paid back over 12 month how the hell can they reject it now

We probably have not made the monthly payments. The club has had two interest free loans of £25,000, this should have paid two installments to HMRC, if these payments have not been made what has happened to the £50,000 ????

If we owed the taxman £300,000 originally in May and now we have an ultimatum to pay £308,000 in eight weeks, surely this means that we haven't made any of the monthly payments over the last three months!

I think there may be an amendment to the statement that we have to pay in full - I am now informed (reputable) that we have to pay a large portion of it within the 8 weeks - rather than the whole amount. It's not 100% confirmed yet though.

ASSF will instigate an official valuation (third party) of the club at which point we can arrange for a new share issue to take place whereby ASSF becomes a majority shareholder. The money we input through the new share issue will remedy the tax bill. And in full I would have thought. Then OUR fundraising will begin in earnest to put the club back upon the correct footing it should be on
