No wonder the club is having to sort out the "legal stuff". It could be heading for big trouble if it is not careful. The "shares" package was advertised at £250 + vat. As far as I can recall, there was no reference to premiums in the initial offer.

Value of premimums? Possible allegations of favouritism? This could be a legal and Google Page Ranking minefield.

Don't see why, I think they've pulled off a good one.

Hope you are correct, Doug. It's really important that this is successful for the club.

:) It will only work well if people want one bad enough RR, I was one of those asking for a club issue of shares and I will buy one for me and most likely one for the business, really only so I can say I’ve done my bit to save the club. I had set a grand aside to buy voting shares had they come, but these are a “Pride Issue” (I own a share in Accrington Stanley type bragging rights) with no investment value at all, at the end of the day its individual choice. :)

In respect of the club I think we should give them some credit. :)

I assume that the information which has arrived includes a facility to pay now (hopefully mine'll be there when I get home), as if we are using the money to make up the shortfall in the tax bill, we need to get it in ASAP!

Cheers, Doug. That's good - at least we can see now how we are going to make the money up. Still wish the club would put it in writing on t'fishy site though!

An unfortunate tone there, Jeff.

Questions DO need asking because the terms of the offer seem to change. How about looking at one of your posts:

The flexi tickets are now of unlimited validity but you assured us, quoting the programme, that they were only valid for 2009/2010.

So now they are giving a bit extra, what is the problem with that.

I am gutted personally that I cannot afford a certain shirt, but I think it is a good idea to maximise this share issue, by doing what they have done - and lets face it we do not have to buy any specific share/shirt - the club are making an extra few grand, good idea :) :)
