:hidewall: (macca ducks behind wall in anticipation of incoming flak)

Problem was with last night's altercation, we'd already been moved from the rear walkway, which was fair enough. However, the steward seemed to be expecting us to move from the strip of terracing that runs down from the gap in the rear barrier. Now, this may well be a walkway, but even if we'd shuffled to one side, the sheer weight of numbers would have meant that we'd inevitably "flow" back into the offending area. If bigger crowds are going to be a regular occurence (and I hope they are!), then the club are going to have to come up with some other solution for this.

It was also help if the new stewards used a certain amount of discretion and common sense, as the "regulars" do!

12th in the table after Friday and still 12th after today's games!

And Bury score at home at last to join us on 12 points. :)

Loving being in the top half of the table, still early days but it's nice to know things on field are being taken care of even if off field is going to hell.

I did Cashy!...It was a knight in shining armour...riding a big white horse..( of some 16 hands!)..with a Halford's Saddlebag (that's not a Saddlebag belonging to the great 'Hacker'!)..at his side..containing £ 308,000.05 pence !...carrying a banner bearing this strange device..."Save our Stanley!"

Then I woke up !!.....It really is getting to me in a big way you know !!!....I think that I need a holiday!..

Alfred.E. comments that this reply is raising my eccentricity to new depths!.

'ON STANLEY!!!.......ON!!!'

Was also great to meet a few members of the message board including Harwood Red, Stanley Mad, Mr T, and arguably the boards finest poster – Macca, who I somehow ended up buying two wristbands from - presumably one for each wrist!

I have to say Harrow that I was well impressed that not only could you perfectly understand Glaswegian for 90 minutes, but you also had to put up with the Gretna boys from the row behind who were a good laugh too.

Joe – as always great to meet up and will catch up with you again at the Macclesfield match. Will need to get a few of the crowd together for a pre-match pint or two!

Ha ha never been called Harrow before :D

We definately had a really good laugh and banter throughout and we must have chuckled through the whole 90 mins just at the comments coming from the Gretna lads behind, lol... they were great sports and loved the night too!

Also I think I was all hugged out after 5 goals :p

Great meeting you though and look forward to you coming down for that midweek match :)

Bumped into Mr.T at the Vale game and he has asked me to drop this line on this thread :) He would like anybody who had issues/problems with stewarding to drop him a line as he is anxious to sort the matter out. He is having a meeting with stewards in next couple of days and wants to raise any issues with them :)

He is still busy on the Team bus at the moment and will not get time to post, so that is why I am posting for him :)

Seems the humiliation hasn't helped the manager ( ex)

Crewe Alexandra have sacked manager Gudjon Thordarson after only nine months in charge at the club.

Hey bearing in mind I was completely zombified the next day, and had to give a shout-out to four different folk, I think I did pretty good. (would have been less zombified had I not taken the wrong turning home on the way out and started travelling even further south, but that's a story for another day!!!).

Besides, Harrow has a certain ring to it and has less letters, making it a more friendly username. Drawback being that the place is about 4 hours south of Accrington and so the name doesn't really make any sense!

And yeah, midweek match should be a great one, especially as its a derby. Just hope the club is still in existance in November!!! (would have added some funny faces in the message but can't get the link to work :-))
