A good nights entertainment , Stanleys defence marginally better than Crewes, but will need to tighten up against better sides. Good Attendance, good support, another good Friday night. Kempson and Martin need a better understanding, but a good three points anyway.

Excellent game with some good goals, howling defending but keep winning it keeps Stanley on the upward spiral and keeps thinks positive in the best way possible.

Hopefully the fans who have helped out from other clubs and neutrals with their prescence at the Crown Ground helping to swell numbers in the last two games will see something to keep them coming back:)

Great game, pity the announcer couldn't see who scored our second goal and announced it as Bobby Grant (who IMHO was my man of the match) when clearly Symes scored it. At least Accy Webbers got the correct news. Both goalies had howling matches to be honest. And for those that say Dunbavin is no good, Alan Martin wasn't up to much tonight. At fault for the third goal and not much help with the other 2. But the one thing that really p***** me off is the programme notes from our esteemed Chairperson D'ON. To quote " I seem to refer to the ASSF every time I write my notes and today is no different as once again the fund is homing in on the media hype that surrounds us. I will not enter a verbal crossfire in the local or national press with this group and I hope it will become obvious at some point to our fans why negotiation has not been taken to another level. It is often said that talk is cheap and sometimes to say nothing is a sign of inner strength of being totally focussed, all I will say is ASSF and Mr Khan, you had your chance to prove to our fans that the club is bigger than anyone when we were in court on the 2nd Sept, had you stepped up to the mark I would have handed you control of the club, you did nothing and would have let the club be wound up, that was the easy way out for you as everyone would just blame me, well I think it is time to either come on board and help your club that so may people are doing (unconditionally) or stay away from our limelight and let the true fans and the community of Hyndburn save the club they love" - I foresee trouble ahead. I cannot believe D o'N has said this. At no time has Ilyas Khan stated he wanted to take over the club, he is just asking for some form of return for the money he is prepared to invest, I don't think you can say fairer than that.

Why do we do it? As a club we shouldn’t be washing our ****ty underpants in our own Programme; Now come on, whatever your agendas its time both of you come out in the open and settle this issue (without conditions) in a public debate. Both parties are playing for silly ****ing points at the expense of our club.

I couldn't make it tonight unfortunately, due to working late and other commitments. I'll donate £20 via Paypal ( with ref. to another post, please enlighten, as to the situation with PayPal )!!for my enforced abscence. I managed to take in a little of the game ( via internet radio coverage ) and also saw a couple of goals ( via SKY Sports news )..seems like I missed a cracker.....and the Reds scoring FIVE...

Bearing in mind, reading what I have read on this thread earlier, Am I to believe that the D'on has had a go at Mr Khan???? (via whatever medium...program??? )

What happened to the so called sense of solidaritary, get the club out of this mire and then start asking questions??? Admittedly, the Don will not want a share issue, it hopefully ( getting out of this mire) may not arise, but am I to believe that dirty linen has been aired in public.... so to speak????

Was this in the Official Program of A.S.F.C ????

If so, Please enlighten one who was exiled,

Correct about the stewards - though Mr. T will tell us otherwise :D - I believe there was somebody official there to see about ground safety, so can sort of understand, but it is painfully obvious that there is not enough room in The Clayton End  I know all the stuff about rules, costs and stuff, but longer term it has to be sorted :)

Re: vs Crewe Alex

I was talking to Al about some of the issues last night in the Crown.

Basically the upshot is that many of the stewards are new and the layout of the ground doesn't lend itself to happy stewarding so they need feedback form us on what works and what doesn't work etc etc - as well as common sense help in the way we conduct ourselves.

Recommendation no1 is the opening of the rear handrail right in the middle.

It is impossible to get in and out of the area immediately behind the goal.

Recommendation no 2 is that the stewards chill out a bit. The behaviour of our fans does not need questioning as we have the lowest amount of banning orders or arrests of all the 92 league clubs for the past 3 1/2 years. A softly softly approach will work far better than the current heavy handed mob. We all know that if you give somebody cause to rebel then they will take it - particularly when drunk!

IMHO the best way would to do away with the walkway at the top and put it at the bottom instead, between the standing fans and the seats

as you know macca i cannot drink, so no alcohol induced anger from me, when i am stood 3 steps down from the walkway and n attitude tells me i'm not allowed to stand there, then i am going to be at best very unpleased.

the main problem is that the seats have pushed everyone closer together and there isn't much standing room anymore - certainly not when we have increased crowds like the last two. But walkways MUST be kept clear, it's the law!

Re: vs Crewe Alex

Fantastic result last night and really glad I came down for the match – the ultra’s as always were in full voice for the entire 90 minutes and beyond! Wasn’t expecting such a large attendance – wouldn’t mind another Friday nighter at some point!

Was also great to meet a few members of the message board including Harwood Red, Stanley Mad, Mr T, and arguably the boards finest poster – Macca, who I somehow ended up buying two wristbands from - presumably one for each wrist!

I have to say Harrow that I was well impressed that not only could you perfectly understand Glaswegian for 90 minutes, but you also had to put up with the Gretna boys from the row behind who were a good laugh too.

Joe – as always great to meet up and will catch up with you again at the Macclesfield match. Will need to get a few of the crowd together for a pre-match pint or two!

Glad that you enjoyed it, you must have been absolutely knackered by the time you got back this morning  :) Will ensure that we have a good chat and a few drinks next time, as I will know when you are coming ;)
