I reckon you will get Southampton or Charlton :) |
Re: fa cup
so like fat gaz said then its bury home or away .
|
Re: fa cup
Home to Fleetwood, who should bring lots of fans but (please:eek:) not stop us getting the winner's prize money.
But for purely selfish reasons (see location), Southampton or Eastleigh away:) |
Re: fa cup
chester or bath city
away |
Re: fa cup
Inland Revenue XI away is my guess.:D
|
Re: fa cup
LEEDS UNITED ...AWAY !!...
1)...We'll get a draw and bring them back to The Crown', where we'll hammer 'em!..and get the money. 2.) We'll get good TV Coverage !!. 3.) It'll put the Icing on the Cake following the announcement that the Stanley have survived the 'Taxman's wrath'.....Hopefully ??. 'ON STANLEY!!..ON !..TO THE SECOND ROUND !!' |
Re: fa cup
What about an away trip to Paulton Rovers? And before anyone asks, I don't know where it is either.
|
Re: fa cup

Re: fa cup
port vale at home
|
Re: fa cup
Huddersfield im guessing on
|
Re: fa cup
It's at home v Farnborough or Salisbury City
|
Re: fa cup
Accrington v Farnborough or Salisbury
|
Re: fa cup
Happy with that.
Hopefully a nice £18,000 IF we win :) |
Re: fa cup
Salisbury are 17th in the Blue Square, having won 4 and lost 5 of their away league matches this season. Probably, with home advantage, they are favourites to win the replay but Farnborough are top of the Zamaretto Premier Division (is that the Southern League in disguise?), unbeaten with 27 points from 11 matches.

Re: fa cup
One of my first games at the crown was against Farnborough i think... they seem to have dropped down the divisions.
Interesting tie for morecambe... |

Re: fa cup
As the opponents are still effectively unknown can I chuck my hat in the ring and plump for Farnborough at home :D:D
|
Re: fa cup
farnborough home my get tv lower club agaist the flying reds
|
Re: fa cup
probably too late now but if we get to the 2nd round and get another similar draw we should immediately move it to the friday night. Better crowds, better atmosphere, and an increased chance of telly!
|
Re: fa cup
Quote:
I'll definetely second that! |
Re: fa cup
Quote:
Won't make one bit of difference to the telly, you are either chosen or not and they tell you which day you play it  |
Re: fa cup
Games chosen for TV
Saturday 7th November, 12.45pm Paulton v Norwich Sunday 8th November, 1.30pm Northwich followed by the Second Round Draw live with Jim Rosenthal at 3.35pm. |
Re: fa cup
the tv money will be a huge boost to Northwich as will the bumper crowd.
I would prefere to get Salisbury over Farnborough. |

Re: fa cup

|
Re: fa cup
Now they know there are possibly 500 away fans I would think normal league prices will apply ;)
Hard to believe 6 days before a game there has been no price set  |
Re: fa cup

We do still have a club? and a crowd of 1800 would still be decent, and i think there will be a vocal backlash against the board no matter what happens. End of the day the fans need to stick by the team, as the old saying goes, through thick and thin. There also 2 good reasons to as i see it: 1. The current side is probably the best the club as ever had and deserves support and 2. The fanbase cant afford to go down smaller than it already is, and despite people complaining about the board, the only way they can hear what they have got to say is by coming to the games :D |

Re: fa cup

I reckon it must be about 50/50. Depends how dry it stays in the morning and how late they leave the decision. Difficult one if they take in to account the distance the away fans have to travel. |
Re: fa cup
Covers are on over Accy end 18 yard box, Buzzer said 50/50 will defo depend on weather overnight but forecast reasonable for tomorrow, keep everything crossed.
|
Re: fa cup
Get a portable genny and ask all the female fans to bring along their hair driers to do the job. They should be perfect for the job.
Hope it does go ahead though i cant be there I will find a way to listen to it. :D |
Re: fa cup
anyone know if there having a minutes silence fer Alex tomorrow?
|
Re: fa cup
I must admit to part of me hoping (not too much though) that tomorrows game is called off........for purely selfish reasons, as I cant be there :( due to prior arrangements. Also how good would it be to have our first game as the New and improved ASFC against Bury whose fans have done so much to help our survival?..................I can make the Bury game lol :).
If it does go ahead tho, Im pretty sure Im gonna miss a cracking game/atmosphere.............hope y'all enjoy yourselves!! |
Re: fa cup
if game gose head more chance bury game being off (uk) cutting up more rain monday / tues day sorry pal
|
Re: fa cup
Weather is not looking good at the moment,it may be called off. Must be an early inspection to save the Salisbury fans a wasted journey
|
Re: fa cup
So much for the dry morning . Peeing it down at the moment
|
Re: fa cup
I don't know what time it started, but it's been hammering it down since 4am. If the chances of it being on were only 50/50 yesterday, then I can't see much hope for the game today.

Re: fa cup
FA Cup First Round
Saturday 7th Nov 2009 Pitch news The pitch at the Crown Ground is bearing up well ahead of this afternoon's match against Salisbury City. There has been some overnight rain in Accrington though the pitch drainage has coped well, there is no official pitch inspection planned at this stage and as long as there are no torrential downpours ahead of kick off the game will go ahead as planned at 3pm. Remembrance Saturday 7th Nov 2009 Minute silence and collection Please note that there will be a minute silence ahead of this afternoon's game against Salisbury City, to mark the annual act of remembrance for those who have given their lives in the service of their country. At this time the club also remembers those dear to the club who we have lost recently, particularly including former player Alex Hamilton who was with Accrington Stanley at the time of their demise in 1962 and sadly passed away this week. We also remember those who are no longer with us whom we still hold dear, with our long serving former secretary Phil Terry in our minds, who sadly passed away this time last year. There will be a collection at this afternoon's game in aid of the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal and the club would ask all fans to support this very worthy cause. |
Re: fa cup
Showers and sunshine this morning in Clayton at the moment.
|
Re: fa cup
