Ilyas asked everyone to stay calm and let things develop between him and the club in the next few days, and we will. Some of the comments under today's article in the LET show the depth of feeling around the area though:-

Accrington Stanley given another week to raise tax money (From Lancashire Telegraph)

What a sound bloke Ilyas Khan is, and even if he doesnt get everyones public backing (which he will!) he's certainly got mine.

Real peace of mind to know the ins and outs of a lot of this mess from an inside source that has the best interests of our club at heart, also showing what a great mess that others got us in. Khan your a god send for us fans, and i hope the rest at the club arent stupid enough to ignore him again...

CLAYTON RED 28-10-2009 20:38

Re: Ccndle lit protest

After listening to Ilyas for the 1st time tonight, all I can say is what a gentleman he is.

The way he has been treated by the club which I have to admit is also the way we have been treated over the last couple of day's, is contempt of our and his feelings towards Accrington Stanley, them two clowns need to disappear off the face of the earth.

Someone said to me tonight may be they did not put any money in is because they thought there was no hope and the winding up order would of gone through. I never thought of that.

If Ilyas had not been in that courtroom today we would no longer of had a club.

Ilyas being Ilyas as a gent said do not go on a witch hunt , but sorry Ilyas them two clowns need to go, they have not been open, they have lied, they have took the P**s out of us fans and you.

Sorry Ilyas, but I want, I need, them two clowns to go.

And that is the amazing thing, They(Ilyas and Peter) was not asked by the club to attend and they were unaware of there intention to be there.

Yet they attended the court with the information infront of the judge from the HRMC being that the total paid at 10am was NIL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THATS NIL.......

So with NIL being paid the Club would NOW be GONE............... And the people in charge at the club must have been aware that they were going to there END ???????

STUPID ???? NIAIVE ???? DILLUSIONED ???????

LOST for words.

Re: Ccndle lit protest

I've just had a phone call from Mick Schultz to say that it was he who locked the gate to the car park and the pumpkins were fine when he left. He's going to have a look on the CCTV to see if that sheds any light on it.

I think that clears that up because Mick wouldn't do something like that (especially as he would have to clean it up later!).

He also wanted to express his gratitude that A) the protest was peaceful and no damage was done and B) that the people present had cleared up behind themselves.

... he was a little concerned about people slipping on spilt wax though! that's H&S folk for you.

thanks for the call Mick

Greeny 29-10-2009 09:35

Re: Ccndle lit protest

try using a tissue over the wax, then an iron. Not sure it will work, but the wax should melt and soak into tissue.
