Please be warned T lights do get very hot, I recommend that you take something to hold the candle.

With Respect I think you would be better holding it tomorrow due the fact that no one will be there from the club.

Plus, we can have it at a more appropriate time of say 7.30/8pm AND have the press pre-briefed.

All for a protest/demo tommorrow.

Give the papers and tv plenty of time.

Sky sports would cover it if they are told by tommorrow morning. They send out a reporter if they know something will be happening in advance.

chaps,

This is the first time that i've posted on here as im not really a fan of messageboards. However, with what has happened i have felt compelled to post tonight. I've been a Stanley fan for a while now but haven't been able to make as many games as I would like due to living away from home.

So, to everyone who knows me down at Stanley as Harry Potter, I wish I was there with you tonight. I will be gutted if we don't get some positive news tomorrow.

Here's hoping for a positive day tomorrow,
Harry Potter

Phonecall recieved tonight from Ilyas Khan to Peter Shaw (Chair ASSF) whilst at the vigil.

Ilyas and Peter Marsden will be going to the court tommorrow to say that they are GOOD for the shortfall (around £100000) it just might be enough if they can get anyone to listen.............no promises but they are going to try.

If they are successful then ALL FANS MUST GET BEHIND THEM AND BACK THEM ALL THE WAY.

Lets hope and pray they can pull this off.

Encouraging news.....Hope they can both manage to "pull the pheonix back from the flames" so to speak.

Just doin' a bit of maths though.... If we're around £100K short...If you deduct that from £308K, then deduct £117K (for the money in the S.O.S. fund) that would mean that there's £91K still to be accounted for...

Does this consist of Money put up by the board??? Is £45K of that money relating to loans / donations given to the club ??(as in Mr Khan's earlier £25K & professor Glasson's loan)

It would appear that without the " £100K " from Illyas / Mr Marsden the present regime are short of options...Pleas for more time, I fear, will not wash with the taxman.

Unless the present Board / regime can explain where the additional funding (as in on top of the S.O.S. appeal is going to come from and without Illyas' and Mr Marsden's help )and put a strong case forward to H.M.R.C as to why they need the "adjournment for a week or so" and the Judge swallows their offer, then at shortly after 10:30am this morning, we lose our fight with the taxman.

I hope that they have the grace to accept the offer from Illyas & Mr Marsden and realise that they now have little, if any room for manouvre. :o

If they do not, and the club folds as a result, then I hope the present board,Chairman, Co Chairperson, Chief Exec, Director's et al, have answers for their actions, for they will be infamous as the people who had the chance to save the club, yet deemed fit to be stubborn to the point of lunacy, buried their heads in the sand and allowed the club to be consigned to the scrapheap again.:(

I hope they could explain to Jack Barrett how they've allowed their actions to ruin all his hard work, tell Coley & Bell and all the players, past & present, how they allowed this situation to get to the point where all their efforts have been in vain.If they ( The present board )fail to get us out of this mire, they'll effectively put a lot of people out of work by their actions, Management, players & other staff.:(

Will they be able to look all concerned in the eye and say " We did all we possibly could" ??
.

Hi Stanleyites... somewhere, someone has possesion of a black flag with a silver fern on it. I sent it over 2 or 3 years ago, and Mel and Leslie flew it at a game as well as an NZ one donated by DOUG...would it be out of order for me to ask that one of those flags is taken to any protest/celebration that will/may occur today(Weds)? My thoughts are with each and everyone of you, as I know your passion is deep in your veins. I doubt I will go to bed this evening untill I hear the verdict. I pray its a good'un.

for all the money thats been raised through a lot of collective hard work and effort there seems to have been very little auditing of incomings carried out by the club....

if the chief executive publicly declares that he doesnt know the shortfall the night before the club is due to face a winding up order then god help you all....just hope everything you raised has gone towards the intended target
