What a great tie for Stanley, wish I could be there. I know most of you will know that Stanley have a couple of close links with Leeds. Les Cocker of the late 1950s at Peel Park finished at Leeds as trainer under Don Revie and Leeds center half of the 80s Gord McQueen is the son of former Stanley keeper, Tommy McQueen.

Doubt if he will be miffed sparkie, that usually goes wi the loan.:)

sparkie 10-12-2009 21:59

Re: Leeds Away

I know, but when you know that its not in the loan terms, (and theres every possibility if you do play you're likely to be back in leeds ressies for the rest of the season instead of out on loan getting valuable experience) and all that you really want is to show you're parent clubs manager what you can do in a highly competetive game, and they deny you that, than you're entitled to feel a bit miffed!!!

I've already given them more than I can afford without being robbed as well

AccyMad 11-12-2009 12:06

Re: Leeds Away

These prices are for different areas of the ground to the one we've been allocated, maybe Leeds only allow their own fans in at student prices - wouldn't be too quick to judge the club until you know for sure and to be honest at a fiver for the coach I don't think anyone can say they're being robbed.

It isn't clear but, from looking at Leeds' ticket pages, it seems that Jeff's is the correct interpretation. Under 16s and owd codgers over 60 like me should note that their website also says 'proof of age will be requested'!

Perhaps should not be surprised - it took 3 months for my mum's cheque to reach her friend down south.

Natalie at the club may have to arrange with Leeds for me to pick up tickets on the night.

What a fabulous time we have all had at the club recently.

I look forward to seeing you all on tuesday. I cant wait, to be honest. I hope all the arrangements work out - but if you have any issues than dont hesitate to contact the club. its a huge game, and i know that the boys on the pitch will be given a huge boost by our support. Its a midweek game, but even so i am aware that a lot of people will be travelling out to Elland Road, and i want to thank you all in advance for being our "12th" man.

Looking at what is scheduled to be shown I think they should show the match instead, don't think they'll be too many disgruntled viewers of police camera action (if you haven't seen it ten times by now......), river monsters (seriously, i enjoy fishing, but its hardly a spectator sport. And have ITV4 coined a new occupation in 'extreme' angling?) and Auf Wiedersien Pet (see police camera action above)
