Re: Club shop
it would be a massive own goal to release it without a shirt sponsor and then subsequently add one - I really hope thats not the case.
Anyway, enoug of the negative on that, congratulations to the team behind the video its a big leap forward for the club in terms of a professional new direction. I'd like to see it condensed to a 30 second burst and possibly screened here and there such as the cinema? screens around the club such as the clubhouse and Crown? |

I always think the sponsors logo spoils a football shirt :D |
Re: Club shop
Would think that it would deter any potential new sponsor if x amoumt of replicas had already been released without sponsors on them. I'd love it if the club were in a position not to have a shirt sponsor, that would be properly retro! :)

Re: Club shop

Re: Club shop
why not have the fans sponsor the kit . so it free from sponsor

Re: Club shop
As a sponsor , could go to that old idea that someone came up with of having peoples names in small letters at the side or on the back of the shirt?

Re: Club shop
Was it not some foreign side who had the name of all season ticket holders on there shirts,as they had no sponsors.Would be good Google Page Ranking for Iylas, for the fans to own the club?

Re: Club shop
I would guess that to get the names woven in to the material would be very costly. The material used in making up the proposed new shirts is more than likely already used in various shirts which keeps the cost of production down. Can't see any benefits in fans paying sponsorship money if a proportion of that is going to have to pay for a bigger cost in producing the shirt. I would also guess the kit design and the material used in it is already finalised now.
It was done as a one off at Burnley a few years ago, each sponsor paid £1,000 for their name to be on it, it was specially made and worn once  |
Re: Club shop
i'd really like to see that done at some point - maybe the 50th anniversary shirt? the cost of the shirt should be largely immaterial (pun intended) in such a context. fifty sheets a name should be fairly attractive and some would have their children or spouses on as well - and there would be every likelihood that a shirt would be purchased for most names on the shirt.
One to look into perhaps for a go-getting retailer? |
