We have a few kids and so do you but we know we have a lot in common and the banter among the vast majority remains respectful.

Some of our younger fans occasionally start 'we hate Stanley' chants which tend to peter out in the face of disapproving 'no we don't!' responses from the rest of us.

Just hope it doesn't put too much of the wet-stuff down between now and kick-off - it's my big birthday bash this weekend so I expect to be in the Crown from about 1pm with a few mates.

Looking forward to it as always (despite us usually getting the rough end of a hectic scrap!).

Good luck for the rest of the season and, who knows, fair wind and a decent injury-free run and we could both be inflicting our brand of northern tomfoolery on the folk at Wembley come May!!

hope you aint referring to me then shrimper, never said anything about hating stanley or slated them in anyway... just though it good motivation for the lads. Nothing more

I know who he means fella

We stood on your terrace for a play off game & some youths near the drum spent the whole game trying to wind us up instead of support the shrimps. Bananas on feet etc (painfully the worst chant in the UK)

To the right of us was the old skool, embaressed for them.

It took me having a little strop to concentrate Morecambe fans on the job in hand
