It strikes me that someone is trying to do a bit of stirring on their forum. There has always been a healthy respect between our two clubs and I would certainly like to see where their idiot's quote "From the Accrington forum" has actually come from. I certainly can't find it on here!

Do you mean this:

Morecambe are rubbish.
Bentley has the turning circle of a 30 year old HGV.
Mullin & Craney had their best times at Accrington.
Jevons was useless at Bury v Stanley bar one penalty.
Coleman is worth ten Sammy Mac's.
Their fans are always outsung by Stanley fans & SU.
We will sing for 90, they will sing for 9.
We will provide visual stimuli from the Clayton End prior to the game.
Morecambe will bring one 5'3' St George with MFC scrawled in marker pen on it.

and we have Michael Symes, Bobby Grant, Phil Edwards & Jimmy Ryan....

Therefore

5-0 Accringtonia __________________

And still is, don't worry mate.

We have a few kids and so do you but we know we have a lot in common and the banter among the vast majority remains respectful.

Some of our younger fans occasionally start 'we hate Stanley' chants which tend to peter out in the face of disapproving 'no we don't!' responses from the rest of us.

Just hope it doesn't put too much of the wet-stuff down between now and kick-off - it's my big birthday bash this weekend so I expect to be in the Crown from about 1pm with a few mates.

Looking forward to it as always (despite us usually getting the rough end of a hectic scrap!).

Good luck for the rest of the season and, who knows, fair wind and a decent injury-free run and we could both be inflicting our brand of northern tomfoolery on the folk at Wembley come May!!

Happy Birthday Shrimper and good luck for the rest of the season (after sat!);-)

for years we popped up to Chrisite park when our games were called off , I think I may well have started a few joints chants of "we hate Barrow!"

The Ultras came up to help the singalong in your play offs and 99% of Stanley fans enjoy the company of your fans in the bars after the ground.

Do you ever see Scooby?

I personally enjoy and look forward to our games against Morecambe, I think this game in particular is the proverbial "six pointer" with both sides looking to close the gap on the Teams at the Top.

It has all the hallmarks of being hopefully a classic encounter.

I hope Paul Mullin does get to play some part in the fixture (just don't score) as we as fans never really got a chance to show our appreciation for everything he did during his near ten years at the Club.

Legend then, Legend now and will always be a true Stanley Legend

I hope McIlroy brings him on in the last minute just so that he can get his ovation and a ground wide chant of "one Paul Mullin"

My post was purely in jest, infact I was there with the old big wavy flags giving it the big un in support at the Play Off game.

Just knew my post would filter back to Shrimpvoices & you would get the old "Guess what they saying about us on THEIR forum"

We've never hated Morecambe, in fact we have spent many a 1/2 hour services break with them at Hilton Park or such like....

See all Morecambe fans in the Crown, even that baldy big mouthed landlord.... "Bring some ice with ya !"
