Was quite a weird feeling watching a game as a neutral but saw a few familiar faces and heard some familiar songs:)

It was enjoyable and at a fiver for live football you can't go wrong

One thing that struck me again tonight with their social club outside the ground as it did at Macc last week with their President's Bar is what good money spinners they are with both sets of fans particulary like the idea of home made food being available at an affordable price.

That should be high on a priority list for Stanley if the Sponsors section becomes perhaps part of any New Section of the New Stand along with a kitchen.

It's a win win:)

Hi Folks. Just wanted to come on and thank your fans for coming down tonight. I was in the cemmy end and good to see the Bury fans applaud you when you came in.

Ill be hoping to pop up to a couple more of the Accy games this season also.

Hope you enjoyed the game, probably the most one sided 1 - 0 ive seen for ages and although a pen they all count.

Buts whats more interesting is the total was 435.

That's 435 x 5 in the Bury FC coffers. How many of those would have gone if it wasn't £5???

Isn't that something we should be aiming for???:)

Or would it upset somebody???

Imagine an extra 400 at our games 6 times a year; Darlo + Crewe x 3!!!

ATMOSPHERE!!!!:):):)

Some people will be upset, it's natural. Look at the free game v Torquay a few years back, there were a few mutterings of discontent mainly from Season ticket holders, but on the whole most were happy.

Personally I think it's a fantastic idea. It's like a bonus to the club (money it just wouldn't have if the offer didn't run).

i think it should be a fiver every game regardless of promotions ..

Re: Bury Tonight

Rob,

love the idea (compromise at £10) but we can't afford to loose £8 x 1300 a game ( walkons less season tickets)

Ilyas is our saviour BUT we need to be self funding SOON!!!!

Re: Bury Tonight

forget season ticket sales for a minute

fiver a ticket we would get 4000 a game within a few games £20k

current average around 1900 at who knows what price (concessions/free kids etc) is around the same money I would guess

advantage of bigger crowd is more revenue via other outlets (thats up to the club to capitalise), a far better atmosphere, far more respect amongst other clubs, more people spouting the gospel on a daily basis (also known as free advertising), another positive excuse to hit the national media for the cheapest ticketsabove the North West Counties, hit Burnley and Blackburn at a price where they can't get anywhere near us.

disadvantage of a cheaper admission - might need more stewards and would need more programme sellers, turnstile operators.

it's a no brainer for me. Number crunching can be done however you like but our crowds would more than double.

Season ticket holders cant complain to much, my season ticket was only £140 quid which is less than a tenner a game (shame Ive never used any of those vouchers - are they still valid?) one or two games a season on the cheap to boost crowds is no problem.

However, Stanley will have to convince the outlet holders they will be increasing customers and thus charging them more; alternativly the club run the retail outlets (and dont sell out of date food and drink like the van behind the clayton end) - otherwise you dont get the benefit of the extra fans/lower entry price.

Re: Bury Tonight

Can someone remind me how much or how little the "Special Offer Season Tickets" were. Divide this by the number of games, and find out how many we sold. This would give us a clue as to how many we may or may not get on if we drop the price. Easy to sit back with no responsiblity asking for give away prices but we need to break even at least. 4000 watching Stanley week in week out in your dreams. ( but it would be great)
