The situation does need clarifying that is for sure sooner rather than later

Re: Truth ?.. or merely Telegraph Hype ?.
It's not only this issue. It's rumours about delayed/unpaid player wages, accounts not submitted etc etc. The promised transparency has disappeared. We are left with rumours, conjecture and gossip, all of which discredit the club yet again.

[quote=maccawozzagod;821593]as far as I know - using some truths and then fleshing it out.

the funding wouldn't have been 100% of the total cost - we don't have any money to add to the 90% or whatever so that's a cross in box 1

as part of the application process we would have had to undergo thorough financial investigations to ensure that we are a business worth 'investing' in. I am not for one minute saying we are crooked, but we still haven't filed last years accounts so we would be putting a cross in box 2

the club do not want to build something that is based on other public bodies perceptions of what a football club should build, ie a seated stand is no use to us, we'd much rather have a terrace. Grants are dependant on seated stadia so that's a cross in box 3

any application would have been a waste of time, effort and money so none was made.

This is exactly what I understood to be the case Macca. However to continue to keep on finding reports in the press which seem to outline glaring inadequacies in the administration of THE Club's development, does little to improve the ill-will which appears to be ever-more apparent in the opinions expressed by so many of it's Fans who really DO have a real concern for it's well-being. Perhaps more accurate and comprehensive press releases (If that is what the Telegraph et al base their reports upon ?) might be what is missing !... I continue to worry !. |
Re: Truth ?.. or merely Telegraph Hype ?.
Finances and things about money etc should be left to the board! Non of our business!
However as fans paying money to watch games home and away and also buying merchandise from Stanley we should be informed more about the managment and what is happening, players staying or going etc. The thing that annoys me , is that the club are quick enough to come on here and in person to ask for suggestions to make things better etc and to help themselves but when it comes to simple tasks like updating the website with day to day news of transfers and whats happening around the club then they arnt bothered one bit! Yeh they have Junior shirts on sale but does anyone know who we've signed? Forget about the players, we've always got shirts :). And at this rate we will only have shirts left as we wont have no bloody players to fill them! Well decent ones at that anyway! |

Yes we all yearn to of news, good or other, but to say it is none of our business is way off the mark. In fact, the first two sentences are a contradiction of terms, it is either none of our business or it is our business because we are all fans of the football club. which is it to be:confused: |
Re: Truth ?.. or merely Telegraph Hype ?.
As far as I am aware, the L.E.G.I. thing was a none starter, once the club - inc IK/PM - looked into the finer details!! Though we have had some monies from L.E.G.I. the whole re-vamp, was, in the end a none starter!!
Did not think we were having any stand from any ground??? I thought we were making do with what we have got??!! |

I maybe wrong  :o :o But, I am in agreement that someting official would not go amiss, though at the moment, the only thing official is the pitch.... :) :) |
Re: Truth ?.. or merely Telegraph Hype ?.
I was under the impression the legi fund was going ahead, or how else are we gonna get the ground improved, i was also under the impression that we were looking at 2 stands on offer. The Ilyas's interview intermated at pitch improvements - which have been in progress, and only thing that has materialised well.
But nothing on updates on fishy site on how things are doing, burnleys webby have updated their fans showing pics of work being done etc - thats the difference between ours and another clubs, simple really. Communication has yet again been lost, something that fans wanted not only transparency - but to be updated on any progresses as they happen!! This is failing and thats what fans are getting peeved about, DON is the figurehead there he has been put in charge of the day to day running, so should be also listening to fans concerns and easing them the buck should stop with him - seems only Ilyas is interested in doing so when his busy schedule allows. Its not being unfair its DONS job or least appointing appointing someone to do so on his behalf - customer relations should be priority amongst other things, as player stuff is coleys & jimmys. |
