So Mr. O'Neill is now Chairman again or is that a Typo?

It still needs face to face for the fans, maybe our Press Officer could take questions from the fans via this forum and put them into a Q & A on the website?

The current embargo we’ve got is because the accounts weren’t submitted for 07/08. We’re looking to have draft accounts presented to us on Tuesday from our accountants, obviously then we’ve got to go to Companies House and arrange for verification with the Football League. It will certainly be lifted before the beginning of the season.
The Observer says the embargo is because we haven't submitted our 2009/2010 accounts. O'Neill says it's because we haven't submitted our 2007/2008 accounts. Actually the 2007/2008 accounts HAVE been submitted and the 2009/2010 accounts do not need to be submitted until 28th February 2011. It is because we haven't submitted our 2008/2009 accounts. Have we got anybody at the Stanley who knows what they are talking about ?

"In terms of capacity, we’ve had dispensation from the Football League for the last 12 months and they continue to be lenient with us on that."

But for how long? Another embargo, the ownership issue potentially(?) still not resolved, overdue accounts and the club isn't really making particularly positive noises about finishing the work, with O'Neill as good as admitting that the finances are far from on place. How long does he think the Football League will accept his empty promises. Down here the Ryman league and other leagues further down give new clubs a year to sort out the improvements and if they don't, they're relegated. The club must be an embarrasment to the Football League and unless our new chairman (God help us) can start being upfront with everyone, I fear their patience may start to run out. The FL doesn't need ASFC, in fact, from a financial point of view, there must be other clubs with far more to offer.

Here's my challenge to the DON. "Within the next couple of weeks", be upfront with the fans and tell us all exactly how you propose getting the ground onto the state it should have been put in whilst you've been on the board and where the finance for this is coming from.

Perhaps his little spokesman on here (sameoldstory) has the answers?

Reasons for the pitch work actually been done is that ilyas has paid for it to be done. What is happening as far as capacity ?

In terms of the around the ground improvements are the club on track to be ready in time for the Aldershot game?

Very much so. We’re looking to house a new control room. We have temporary planning permission to move it from its old position. That will go up next week; it has to be in place for the Burnley fixture anyway. In terms of capacity, we’ve had dispensation from the Football League for the last 12 months and they continue to be lenient with us on that. We’ll finish up around 4,600 to 4,700 by the start of the season, so we’re only a small amount away. Once we’ve reached that we’re looking then to develop the corner of the main stand/Coppice and possibly new changing rooms but obviously the finances will dictate how quickly that can be built.

With the promise of a bright future at the club, 2010/2011 will be a big season for Accrington Stanley.

:) :) :)

It just gets more and more ludicrous.

Far from having the embargo "boxed off by the end of the week" (presumably this week, i.e. by today), the embargo "will certainly be lifted by the start of the season".

We have a pitch that doesn't need grass.

It's a pity he was not asked about all the ground sponsorship offers that we were told about - it was just a matter of choosing the best one. It's taking a long time to decide.

As if it's not bad enough being constantly lied to by RH & O'Neil, they can't even lie the same lie - two members of my family who have been Stanley fans for donkeys years (since Peel Park days) & have had season tickets for a number of years & who have already bought their season tickets for this year are so sick of all this tripe coming out of the club that they have been seriously considering not using them & instead donating them to a raffle for a good cause - I really hope they change their minds but can see where they're coming from

Re: Chairman DON

There surely has to be a watershed moment for the Club soon

I don't know who they are or how how they are going to do it but if we are to move forward fears have to be dispelled too many questions are either ducked, misinterpeted, misjudged or mishandled.

I think most fans just want to move on and get on with the business of what Stanley Fans do best which is "Support Their Team" with all the Pride and Passion that comes with being connected with that Magical & Mythical Name "Accrington Stanley" it also has to be inclusive of the Team behind the scenes.

I know there are good things going on behind the scenes but we don't hear enough of it and it often get's lost in amongst all the other issues that seem to constantly cloud the Club.

It's time for someone to stand up & be counted and look to reunite everyone connected with the Club.

Stength comes from working together

Together We are Accrington Stanley:)
