  1. Question popped up on 606.

Either whoever the listener was needed to change the batteries in his/her hearing aid, or The Ultras have made an acute and unexpected shift towards the erudite. If this is the case then can I add a little gem to consider for their next rendition of regard for this Tudor non-entity !.

Henry V111 (To Oliver Cromwell just before his wedding to Anne!)..

'My Lord, if it were not to satisfy the world, and My Realm, I would not do that I must do this day for none earthly thing.'

Which should not be difficult to set to music to sing at the Macclesfield game !!

ps She was a little cracker as well !!

And she never lost her Head !!!

Oh Dear, Yonmon...it would have been something of a miracle if Henry had said that to Oliver Cromwell - he was not even born when Henry was on the throne. I take it, therefore you are already on the pop and as such you have confused Oliver with Thomas Cromwell.

Ah, yes, Tommy Cromwell. If only we could sign him - stubborn defender and a man for all seasons.

Like Tiny Tim said when a changed Ebenezer Scrooge presented him with his new set of leg-irons ...
' I stand corrected !'
And I promise TL never to leap before I look ever again...but thanks for the admonition....I run away to hide with a bottle of Absolut, and to quickly cover my embarrassment with sackcloth and ashes !.

(Alfred.E. says 'Just fancy, losing your Forum-Cred over
one of the Tudor period's more resilient Queens '!).

You're right, I was. Wasn't he Roger's brother? Roger was a useless winger, even though 007 was his squad number.

Have you researched this fact Rob ?...because Tealeaf appears to be a smidgeon pedantic where this fascinating portion of Mediaeval history is concerned !!...

p.s. Alfred.E. says.'Did Anne of Cleves refuse to eat Mediaeval Margarine because she didn't want Middle-Age Spread ??...

Indeed...if are are to discuss the sexual peccadilloes of Anne of Cleves then at least let us place her within the right historical epoc...which is of course, post-medieval.

Not to Henry Viii apparently as the marriage was of convenience and never consummated.

She was German and died at Chelsea. Maybe she was related to Ballack?
