Re: Oxford match thread
Hey I don't care we still haven't conceded in the league after 4 games

Re: Oxford match thread
Oxford don't win and we don't concede. What else was going to happen? :D
Very proud of the defence this season. Hessey a coup or what? Well done Reds. A very strong point. |
Re: Oxford match thread

Re: Oxford match thread
Thanks again for the commentary Dan.

Re: Oxford match thread
Very creditable point. Great commentary too. A home win next weekend and it'll be a great start to the season. Actually, it's already been a great start to the season.

Re: Oxford match thread
Great result, alot of teams have been dominated at Oxford yet we wasnt and played well even after Wednesday!
Superb result. P.S - No-one can moan at our support numbers tbh, Premiership side Wigan only took just over 60 to Spurs today! :O |
Re: Oxford match thread
only 3 clubs in the whole football league/premiership chelsea, man city and the mighty reds. illustrious company indeed and very little difference in playing budget!

Re: Oxford match thread
7th now.....

Re: Oxford match thread
We're the only side in League Two that hasn't yet conceded a league goal in 2010/11. :)

Re: Oxford match thread
Just back from Coley...
His thoughts were that a draw was fair as Stanley dominated the first period and Oxford had the best of the second, and that his team should have had at least one penalty if not two. Also felt Green should have been sent of for an elbow on Hessey (who was superb by the way). In general, he said a win today would've been a great start to the season, a point makes it "average" Full report and Coley on the website when I get in. Hope you enjoyed the coverage (and my summariser cameo from the lovely Dany Robson) Time to hit the road... Dan |

Re: Oxford match thread
Just back. A superb performance and I thought we dominated almost throughout. On local radio their manager was pleased with a point as he admitted our midfield was streets ahead of theirs. Gornell got better as the game went on and was a real handful for their defence. I would love to see him paired up front with Linfield on Saturday. Wait until we really gel the new signings!

Re: Oxford match thread
Well also just returned.....
One of the most 1 sided 0-0 draws ive ever seen, we really should have taken all 3 points today, that saying im still satisfied with another clean sheat and a point away from home. My ratings.......... Dunbavin........... Not much to do, kicking abit suspect but made 1 very good save. 7 Bateson............ Solid Looking and worked hard. 7 Edwards............ Usual consistent Mr Suntan. 8 Hessey.............. Brilliant from start to finish, Kempson can kiss my ass :). 9 Winnard............. Another solid game from Deano. 7 Proccy.............. 1 of his better games, busy all game. 8 Barnett............. Decent game, worked well. 7 Ryan................ Ran the Midfield, Superb as normal. 8 Mcconville.......... Im afraid to say, VERY poor for me, looked like a fish out of water. 5 Putterill.............. Worked non stop but just didnt happen today for Ray. 7 Gornell............... Hard work on his own but showed some good moments. 7 Subs. Parkinson.......... Little impact. 6 Turner.............. See Above. 6 (Only given 10 mins again :( ) Overall a satisfying day out. Hessey was class and looks a real find alongside Sun Tan man. Fingers crossed Coley makes some changes for the JPT on Tuesday, as Putterill, Ryan and Barnett in particular looked knackered by the end. Cisak, Hall, Leam, Parkinson, Turner, Owens, Smyth, Boulding, Linfield (if fit) all should start I reckon....... Nice to be able to rest a few :) Bring on Wycombe next Saturday. |
