Oxford match thread

Howdy
Not looking good for commentary :( on the hunt for an ISDN line...

In the meantime, one change for the Reds, with new boy Gornell in for Parkinson.

It's Dunbavin, Bateson, Edwards, Hessey, Winnard, Barnett, Procter, Ryan, Putterill, McConville, Gornell
Subs: Cisak, Lindfield, Joyce, Parkinson, Turner, Murphy, Owens

Dan

Afternoon Dan:D

Nice to see how the new lad fairs, but shame for parky he did great on wed nite. Notice that turners on the bench again.

Dan 28-08-2010 13:42

Re: Oxford match thread

Stanleymad, by Christopher's own admission he's never going to be the ideal man for the 4-2-3-1 system as it doesn't allow him to get as wide as he'd like - however, look at the attacker on the bench and it's very possible that this could become 4-4-2 if things don't go Stanley's way.

Longlostson - I'm waiting to see if Five Live turn up - they're supposed to be here but if they don't turn up I'll be in that ISDN point like a flash!

Can't see Joyce being happy at being a bench-warmer for much longer, especially as, in my opinion, he could do a better job in this formation than the captain. Just hope that the selection headache that we have in midfield results in good competition rather than good players jumping ship!

Anyway, Come on Accy.

Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Parkinson on Wednesday, I've heard you talk about him on here but didn't realise its the bloke who played for Tranmere and I think he might have been at Bolton earlier

seems a good first half fer the reds, 1 min added.

shakermaker 28-08-2010 14:46

Perhaps Parky isn't completely fit after the Newcastle game? He's the wrong side of 30 and put in an unbelievably energetic shift on Wednesday night. Coley will obviously want Gornell to bag a goal as soon as possible to get him going.

Don't think he was at Bolton, just scored a few against them in the Cup run which is where the association comes from....

since returning to the Football League;
06-07 2 games in a row twice
07-08 2 games in a row twice
08-09 2 games in a row four times
09-10 2 games in a row once

never three games.

I might check the Coley record, since he came later on

I'd probably consider putting Leam on if Winnard is starting to get done over down that side. It would give them something new to think about
