Sounds like Leam's goal was from about the same spot as his last one was at the Crown. BTW, what's happened to his shirt that we Accy webbers sponsored?

Re: Cheltenham

A great all-round performance today. It would have been very difficult to pick out a Man of the Match. Every single player gave his all. It was never fluid football, but it was a great team effort. There's no doubt that Cheltenham are a good team but we nullified their threats. Whenever a Stanley player was making a challenge, he always had covering support from a colleague. Charlie Barnett was immense in this respect. Terry Gornell chased everything - even when the centre back had his arms round his waist. Why can referees not spot this? Goodness knows why the Cheltenham fans and officals were berating the referee - he gave as many dubious (or simply wrong) decisions in their favour as he did in Stanley's favour.

Great stuff. Well played Stanley.

Thought overall acci played the better football in very tricky conditions,They had to dig in the last 20 mins when they thro the kitchen sink at Acci, special mention for Proccy today who must have run a marathon.
May not have the silky skills as others but he doesnt go hiding when pressure is applied, top top game and a lot of his work goes un-noticed

The first goal was a bit scrappy but who cares, Hessey didn't really have a chance with the equaliser, but what about Leams goal, What a scorcher. There is also a small shot of the Stanley fans after Leams goal. (signature)

Re: Cheltenham

Did not go to the game, but from what has been written, the result and the game stats, there appear to be many plus points from the game yesterday :)

Another away win, a late winner for us - after letting in a late equaliser, THREE subs - 2 around the hour mark - and similar to the Bury game - where (sub) Leam won the corner, from which JJ scored the winner - (sub) Leam, scored the winner!!!! :)

I feel it is now time to make The Crown a place where teams do not want to come, start to use the squad of players we have and move into the top ten for the rest of the season!!!! :) :) :)

Some thoughts from Leam Richardson now on the fishy - ASFC News Story > 3794

One of my favourite ever Stanley players, and to see him so elated after the game was truly humbling. He clearly loves that he's playing again.

Bad news re: Kevin Long

Unlucky break for Accrington Stanley's Burnley loanee Long (From Lancashire Telegraph)

Hopefully, we can re-sign him on a long-term loan when he recovers.
