Re: Shopping?

The problem is the patch around the centre circle, its been really soft and wet all week. Buzzers been working on it none stop in an effort to dry it out, when I was last up on thursday it looked soft but seemed to be drying out slowly. I know he was putting the covers on that patch over night on thursday night just in case it rained at all, and then was hoping to be able to do further work on it on it all day on friday before covering it up again to prevent it from absorbing anymore water.

I would imagine it won't be a problem and all the credit has to go to Buzzer for his titanic effort!!! The guys working like a trojan against the weather and on a surface that its really helping him at the moment. Got to say though that the rest of the pitch looks good, nice and green! Well done Buzzer!!

All credit to him, but why is the pitch like this after having £70,000 of Ilyas's dosh spent on it? Why isn't Rob Heys playing hell with the contractors?

Derrick Crane Sports Turf are the contractors, and yes Rob Heys should get them back in next week and get it sorted as we are a laughing stock!!It needs digging out to allow the water to get down to the drains!!

Maybe they were never paid for the job and the £70,000 went elsewhere.

Baggy, I'm pretty sure that Ilyas paid the contractors directly, hence the late start on returfing the pitch. I believe that the powers that be were wanting him to give the money to the club so they could pay the contractor. Ilyas, however, insisted on being invoiced directly.

Maybe Ilyas is the one who needs to take it up with the contractors, but suspect that (only my thoughts not fact btw) the pitch has been poorly looked after or possibly saboutaged reason in quote above, maybe my suspicious mind if indeed had been directly paid

Maybe, Ilyas should have a new ground built were ever he likes in accrington, take the players, manager and supporters, call the new club Accrington Stnley football Club (Year)
and just leave the three idiots with the crown. thoughts please

Very true cashy, perhaps EW did one of his "special deals"?

Could be somebody else's special deal. It's not unknown for an invoice to be produced for work done and then later found that club staff did the job themselves  I still can't get over the fact that the people who paid for the work to be done haven't pursued it.
