its easy for me to say, its not my money, but .... IMHO the club could do itself a great favour by looking into various things that have gone on over the past 2 or 3 years and seek to rectify it. The SOS 'shares' are one, the Legends thing is another. Anybody else who has been aggrieved in some way, shape or form should also be looked at.

It might mean giving away a few more shares than they initially anticipated, but it could go a long way towards building many of the bridges that were burnt down. In fairness it was intimated that the SOS shares will be factored in so lets see what happens.

I do also think that a percentage could be kept aside as a sweetener for the larger Sponsorship deals that can be sold. The shirt sponsors are one and the ground another. The ground sponsorship has its own merits anyway but if spending 100k or whatever also meant that for the period of sponsorship your company owned 10% of the club then it could help to swing a few deals. It would of course have to be written in concrete that on closure of the contract the shares returned to the club.

Is that not one of the problems Rob, last I heard they were having to put a lot of man hours in to just finding out who owns what shares. I would imagine in most instances you could probably say let's draw a line under the past and go forward but I guess it's been said so many times it doesn't wash anymore. You would hope those who have put money in would be suitably rewarded for their loyalty
