Assuming Hessey plays,I would say the blonde lad would be the better bet, although i think the other lad is more comfortable !! mmmm, who would want to be a manager.
PS- heard a replacement for ryan has been lined up,who if correct,is a very very good player, probably what they need in terms of quality and experience.
Cant name him,but things are starting to look Rosy:),never know, may get a smile out of Cashy before the start of the season lol

Does that mean Coley is thinking of adopting a new sweeper system ? :D

Re: Off to a Good Start

Accy Observer says he is with us at the moment. I'm not sure about his age but he has been around a fair bit and always the upper reaches, would do very well alongside a younger lad who he can bring on. Years back he was going to be the next Alan Hansen but never quite got going and I dont think he ever recovered from Rovers releasing him.

Are we going to need another centre back? would I prefer his wages going towards a Francis Jeffers fund? Was Coley a striker?

Marlon Broomes had a brief spell at Sheffield Wednesday.

Unfortunately his very good form there was noticed by others and he got a better move.

The club was in an earlier slump at the time so I suppose that was understandable.

Re: Off to a Good Start

Jeffers career at Sheffield Wednesday was wrecked by two incidents in the Potteries. In Oct 2007 he had been showing great form. The team went to Stoke and hammered them 4-1 but Jeffers got a broken leg from a tackle by Ryan Shawcross.

Fast forward nearly 2 years the club exited the League Cup at Port Vale Jeffers was shown a straight red card in the 37th minute and then transfer listed and frozen out of the first team by the club - shades of the way Di Canio was dealt with for pushing the referee. They turned to him and got him off the bench when they could only draw their final Championship game against relegation rivals Palace but to no avail.

Not many seem to speak up for him on the Wednesday Blog I am a member of.
