My thoughts, Jimmy was a great asset to Stanley,no doubt at all, but far as i'm concerned, none who left a damn good stanley side, have been missed, now the new lads have bedded in, n all credit to Coley n Jimmy fer that, once again from nowt they have built another good side.;):)

Dont agree Cashy at all.

Jimmy was a magnificent player, and still is, he will always be a legend at ASFC.

He was the 1st ever Stanley player to make the team of the season, says alot about how good he actually is.

Ive been keeping a close eye on him aswell as reading the Scunny forum, and make no mistake they see Jimmy as 1 of their best players.

He hasnt been totally fit ever since Deano crunched him in the Carling Cup game, so im massively chuffed now he is back firing on all cylinders.

Im just amazed you think he hasnt been missed!!!

He would walk into any team in our division, including ours.

Good luck to him.

Ryan 7 < LEGEND !

I agree wi all that, yer just aint getting what i'm saying, Quite simply fer me the reds are now playing as well,if not slightly better n last season, therefore none of those who left have been missed,on that basis.!

Even if people think he may not necessarily be missed in the current team, at the moment anyway, i think he would still walk into it if he was still here. The same with phil edwards probably, mcconville may be not so and perhaps not some others on current form but jimmy ryan would any day of the week

I know what you mean Cashy. When Jimmy went ,we thought Stanley would be, shall we say doomed, but now the team have got their act together they are as strong as last season , if not stronger .Last Mon match was sheer bliss to watch. After the game a Macclesfield reporter said Stanley are heading for play offs playing like that , he said we did very little wrong. Now coming from the opposition that is good.

Jimmy will always be welcome at ASFC. The only mystery is why he didn't get the move he deserved, no disrespect to Scunny intended.

Good point Alvin,at his age group he was one of the top rated lads upto 17.(far better than spearing),
He was in the Carroll, sturridge, wellbeck, rated group of lads but his progress stalled for a bit(when liverpool was flooded with foreign kids).
Will follow his progress over the next few years, and hopefully get a shot at the top level.
