Small piece on Ryan Hopper in paper
I was about to chuck out the free paper I get when I recognised a Stanley shirt on the back page.
I've looked for it online but to no avail - here is a transcript of the article from the back page of the Glossop Advertiser Quote:

Re: Small piece on Ryan Hopper in paper
Thanks for sharing that Sam. I was impressed with the lad at Torquay on Saturday, His attitude to his football should be an inspiration to the hundreds that get knocked back early in their careers. If he carries on improving and impressing, I am sure he will get his dream of a Stanley contract.
Keep it up young Ryan. |

Good young talent is Hopper.
All he needs is a few pie eating tips off our number 10 and he is sorted :) |

Re: Small piece on Ryan Hopper in paper
When I saw the title of the thread, I thought it said small piece OF Ryan Hopper in the paper !!! Time for me to get to specsavers maybe !!!
Like the look of this young lad from what I've seen, looks a damn good prospect, I can see where the comparisons to Scholes come from ( apart from the lad being a carrot top !! ) Pretty sure I read somewhere on here that he and another two from the youth ranks had got full time contracts!!:D |
Re: Small piece on Ryan Hopper in paper
Always nice to see talent coming through the ranks from what I have seen he has a good engine and has had his debut and did not seemed phased with that a few games before the end of the season as well as a good per-season under his belt should see him more established and maybe get his chance as as a first team regular next season.

Re: Small piece on Ryan Hopper in paper
Hopper had a good game at Torquay and he rightly deserved to get the applause when he was subbed and after the final whistle went.
Next time someone asks for his autograph can they leave the pen with him and tell him he can use it to sign his contract. |
