probably more a case of him allowing his contract to run out so that he can snaffle better wages elsewhere. Was Roberts not the subject of a reasonable sized bid from Wednesday in January?

So taking Bohan on is a risk, yes, but one that can benefit the club in the long term.

Exactly what I was getting at, fellas.

Cashy you could pick an argument with a mirror :D

Oh i stopped that game..........After 7 yrs bad luck.:D;) It just seemed a bit odd to compare the time Cooky had him to the same as Coley?

Watched League 1 play off Sheff Utd v Huddersfield & was surprised to see Gary Roberts on the bench. Came on as sub & scored a pen in the shoot out, so did all was asked of him. Thought did cross my mind as to whether or not he would be released with the new management in place & the club going up a peg. Must say I did dream of his returning to The Stanley Boys but sadly, cant see happening. Would love to have him & Brett back with us.

All I was saying Cashy was that Cook managed Kurtis and tried to give him as much of a chance as Coleman did, and after that, Cook was the one who had to tell Kurtis he was being released. That task is one of the most difficult things to do to a young player (who probably won't get another professional deal) and won't have taken the decision lightly to bring in another 'unknown' after recent experiences. With this, I think the 'risk' element that people speak of is a non-starter. Cook has done his homework on the Dixon and seems to believe he can develop his talent if met with the same determination from the player. No one is expecting a world-beater from day one, we haven't spent a great deal, so we hope for the best from a budding talent. Happy days. :)

The latest version is;
Hymns Ancient and Modern "Revised".
It's been out about 40 years now.
Anything more modern than that is dumbed down rubbish IMHO.
Keep Singing!:laugh8:

He was high on many supporters' wish lists last Autumn. There was interest in him I believe but no one could see Huddersfield letting him go to a promotion rival. Ben Marshall's half season loan was up from Stoke then so they needed a winger which they got from Reading and are now aiming to secure on a full deal.

The PFA - TransferList

Some very interesting names on that list, but personally, I would go for a mixture of youth and elder statesmen. Michael Symes? Nah he is off to Stanley seconds with messr's Coleman and Bell. Couple of interesting youngsters left clubs like Wigan and Blackburn. Now they could be useful, remember where we got Phil Edwards et al from.

Jimmy Bell was quoted in the Rochdale Observer as saying that Symes wasn't a player they'd be signing. However Phil Edwards was on loan from Stevenage with a view to signing at the end of the season, and that they hadn't ruled out a move for Procter.

There are also rumours linking Peter Cavanagh with a move to Spotland
