Re: Phil Hackney

If true, perhaps he's brassed off with Carver and Hopper being sent out on loan, rather than being given their chance in L2?

Totally understand what you're saying however is it not better for these young lads to go out and get match experience as opposed to warming the bench or watching from the stand. If this is the reason I find it very strange and rather churlish and probably a more serious under current is the reason but regardless I hope he hasn't gone as he has done a fantastic job

If hes gone? n that is the reason, Then all i can say is good riddance, Even the likes of "Beckham" were sent out on loan, fer the sole reason of gaining experience. On that basis i doubt very much if thats the reason.:)

Have any of the conspiracy theorists considered the obvious explanation?

He might have been offered a better job.

Phil Hackney has done a wonderful job, and regardless of his decision to move on, I think that we should appreciate his important contribution during his time at the club.

Well respected and knowledgeable coach in youth football.
Was a fa assessor when you took your coaching badges, would have loved him to have had a crack at the first team coaching, but it wasn't to be for whatever reason.
Wouldn't be surprised if he popped up at a prem academy somewhere ,or even at the fa.

Nothing on the Fishy site?

Sad if true, I think Phil has done amazing job over the last few years and brought some real talent through the academy which has bore fruit for the first team and as I have saiid previously always more exciting for me to watch home grown talent come through the ranks and develop but that's the coaching side of me.
