Was 14th when he took over,reduced the playing budget by 75% and are still in roughly the same league position !!,fair play to him,but sometimes fans can be fickle :)

I agree.
I rate him as a manager and expect him to be successful elsewhere in the future.

Alot of decent managers have failed at preston in recent years, It would suggest their problems run deeper than the manager.

For what its worth I think his hearts in the right place, its not that long ago, he bumped into some PNE fans on the way home from a cancelled match and bought them all pizzas out of his own pocket, thought at the time it was a very nice gesture.

With these few touching words you have opened my eyes to a new dimension in Graham Westley's persona Jaysay !.
!...which in a way has made me feel a little mean for starting this thread intended to allow the Weasel's ( Sorry , Graham Westley's !) antagonists to have free rein in their ongoing vilifications of this much maligned Football Manager !.

I have to admit that reading of this boundless act of generosity on his part towards the hungry of this world caused a little tear to be brushed away and a resolution NEVER to say another rude word about Mr Weasley ( Sorry, Mr Westley !) in my posts on our Forum !.....

But then I re-read a quote harvested from another Forum some time ago...which went like this :-

I think that all in all I generally do say nice things about those I pinpoint on the Forum..... with exceptions !! ( One example I recall was the posting a scathing denouncement of Paul Ince's appalling behaviour towards Harwood Red and others at The Crown ).
However, if you can detect a measure of lack of respect for Graham Westley in my words, and this offends your understanding of the principals of fairness towards others then .......um !...well !!.
As to keeping my Gob ( A word long dismissed from my vocabulary!) shut......then, although my downhill journey into my dotage has curtailed my activities somewhat , I'm afraid I cannot in truth offer you any promises in that respect... Alfred.E. wouldn't like it !!......
