Loan signing no 1
James Beattie has completed the loan signing of the former Barnsley and Colchester United striker Kayode Odejayi.
The 31-year-old has signed a three month deal at the Store First Stadium from League One outfit Rotherham United. Now there's a guy who knows where the back of the net is! Well done JB (in whom we trust) :D:D:D |
Re: Loan signing no 1
Good lad James - seems like he's just the ticket :D

Re: Loan signing no 1
He is a 6' 3" powerful striker as I remember....& will hopefully be a handful for opposition defences.....Webber should love playing off him....:D
Now for a real combative midfielder....somebody who will get a grip of the middle of the park...and we should start getting some positive results!!!:o |
Re: Loan signing no 1
Thats the guy i'd heard James was after last week, but i couldn't pronounce his name, so just told mates twas someone beginning with O.:D Thats a good start.:)

Well done JB.:)
Sounds just like the sort of signing we need. Experienced lad, tall and strong and a good scoring record I presume. Good luck to him and the team on saturday which is already a clear 6 pointer!:hothothot I fully agree with comments about the need for one, possibly two, combative midfield players. Then with others returning to fitness, and JB himself possibly putting on the red shirt again, we should get this season on the move...the main deal being a move up the table.:alright: COME ON THE REDS:jimbo: |
Re: Loan signing no 1
Welcome
We need at least 2 central midfielders. |

Welcome on board the Stanley rollercoaster.

Re: Loan signing no 1
1 Goal in every 6 games according to wiki...not good enough for a striker in my honest opinion.

Re: Loan signing no 1
"Odejayi was named as Colchester United's official player-of-the-season for the 2011–12 season, having led the front-line with power and strength all campaign"
Makes good reading ................................ :D:D:D Welcome aboard .............. :):) |

Jings, give the guy a break; he hasn't even put his boots on yet! You make Dav007 seem like a naïve optimist! |
Re: Loan signing no 1
Never mind the goal ratio. A player of Odejayi's size, stature, power, presence and experience is a fantastic signing for us. Great piece of work by the manager. Welcome to the club Kayode.
