Re: Fsns Friday

Whilst I do think the idea is good, I don't understand the premise of charging £3 more on the gate. Surely the convenience factor of being able to pay the same on the gate as getting a ticket would encourage more fans to come on, instead of expecting them to pre-purchase the tickets. The likelihood is that some people will come to pay on the gate expecting to pay £10 but will end up miffed if they are told they have to pay £3 more.

Yes or No.... the concept and efforts so far are to be welcomed and applauded.... ( Seldom do we see such positive off-field action as this !.)

I have no inside information apart from interviews were being held last week. If they appoint somebody who is already in a job then they wouldn't be able to announce the appointment until that person works notice etc

I can see both sides to the advance ticket/pay on the gate issue. I guess the reason for advance is to try and get people to commit. If it's piddling down on the night those who were thinking of coming and paying on the gate would probably back out. On the other hand buying tickets in advance in person can be a right pain in the backside.

The only side i think worth consideration is trying to attract more through the gate n hopefully they may want to return. peeing people off in the first place don't seem the sensible way to me.;)

If only there was such an outlet willing to sell the tickets ........

Is now a good time to mention the £11 per ticket commision fee :D

to be fair to the club,
if there wasn't an incentive to buy a ticket, then nobody would.
Its not as if the game will sell out.

How many will the Daggers bring on a Friday night through the Friday afternoon rush hour? 50?
I hope they make it on time, not much fun fighting the M25, M1 and M6 on a Friday.

Surely the incentive should be,to attract other fans, who will possibly return when fixtures allow?

Perhaps incentify that by giving out a discount voucher at the turnstile for the next home game v Oxford that way more chance of people coming back and being proactive whilst you have a captive audience.

Important this week that the Club take the lead and get out and about in Hynburn promoting the game Manager & Players can help take the lead with that.

Echo what others have said about about word of mouth we can all do that, printable poster for the game would be good so we can pop em up at work in the car and shops around town but this can't be a one off promotion of the Club it has to be relentless.

The Alarm Bells are ringing you can either press snooze and carry on with a slumber or you can bounce up and get on with it.

The name of the town adorns the shirts but the town has to know the Club exists.

It's absolutely vital that the team get a good result when schemes like this are run.

This is a chance to get back some of the walk ons who perhaps come when Burnley/ Blackburn are away, who have been put off by recent shoddy performances they have witnessed in Accrington of late.

To attempt to answer some of the very valid points

We have to "agree" our prices in advance with the FL for the season (our principal governing body whose rules and regulations we have to follow)

£13 is the lowest we can charge and if we want to charge away fans more than home fans for comparable accomodation we need to seek permission.

That permission will be granted on Monday (only delay is a little trip to Devon)

We are charging the advance price as part of a "local promotion"to ST holders. We dont want to use the on-line system as it costs us commission and there needs to be a person to download the information.

We would prefer to see people in person or talk to they over the phone. We can take payments and allow tickets to be collected on the night.

We will of course find solutions were possible to make tickets available at other outlets. We want "solutions" not barriers, promise. However they need to work for "all"

I also believe we are close to announcements on all things on the commercial front, but want to get the correct details sorted first please.

I also hear that there may also be more important news on the retail front very soon.

Looking forward to a "positive" week:cool:

Like it.

Might get done under the trades description act when they see our floodlights though.
