Paul Cook is not a snake, neither is Leam.

They moved on to a bigger club with more ambition.

If they go up, they will have proven it was the right move.

I think you'll find that there was a widely held perception - rightly or not - that Cook cynically used Stanley as a stepping-stone; arrived in the spring, gone before winter set in. That was what rankled, certainly with those I spoke to. If Chesterfield wanted him, why not get him from Sligo?

And Leam, as some folk repeatedly (and wrongly) told us, wasn't up to the task, and if he wasn't replaced immediately, we'd inevitably be relegated; not "I think"; "fact" .... As, of course, with Beats this season

No doubt the return of Marcus is a welcome one as a Keeper he has blossomed at Stanley and has a Big future in the game.

They didnt get Cook from Sligo as he wasn't proven in the football league?
His performance at Stanley proved his ability.

Did we play them while cook was in charge?

Chesterfield were impressed by our display when Cookies Accy side lost 4-3 over there due to the fact we played such good football with limited resources.

I have no beef with PC. If you're working at Tesco and Asda offer you double your wage for an easier job with greater chances of career progression you'd snap their hands off.

Off the field he ushed in a new era of professionalism that JB has continued with and improved further.

I have always been disillusioned with the fact that PC is a pariah Leam is "a good lad" who is "wished well" despite the fact he almost single handedly relegated us. Indeed despite what everybody knew it took a two wonder goal salvo off the bench v Rochdale for him to give Molyneux a run...the man whose form, ironically combined with Bavs early season form, kept us up.

Then again...Coley's a pariah on here and he's our most succesful post-reformation manager so perhaps PC's in good company. ;)

On the topic good luck Bavo. You made a rick or two but single handedly denying Forest and Boro plus that injury time penalty stop at Morecambe mean you'll live long in the memory. :)
