Murphy's been a good player for the Reds, took time initially for him to settle and make the step up to the First team since then has filled all manner of roles and has proved himself a versatile player also with a knack of finding the net.

I wish him Luck wherever he goes and will watch his career with interest.

Main problem he had was that he was played out of position.

No. But he is available after spending last season at Stockport County before being released at the end of last season by their new manager 'to reduce the wage bill'. He was on loan at relegated Stafford Rangers from mid-January, where he was a regular member of the team, scoring once and missing a penalty.

World cup might be a bit of a summer distraction but as I tell folks down here, it's not exactly Accrington Stanley. News of James Gray's new contract is the most exciting thing this summer - good stuff James 'n James. Let's hope the rest of the squad sign their deals so James Snr can fill any gaps before the preseason friendlies.

I think you need a squad of about 23/24 so if they all sign up we will have 20 if you count Mr Beattie, Goalie posistion needs sorting regarding Bavs also think midfield could do with a bit of muscle and a big lad up front any ideas.

If Dunbavin wants to stay I see no problem with our goalkeeping situation.

In defence I'd like to see Liddle sign up again and another full back - would be nice to have Buxton back on a season loan.

Midfield is where we need to rebuild. We've lost a lot more than just two players in Murphy and Moly due to their versatility. Looking at the list I think we need three more players in addition to the ones already signed up, including an out-and-out winger and a central player who can win the ball.

One more forward please - a target man for Gray to play off - just not Odejayi.

The key thing to look for in new signings this summer has to be pace.
