Loan players.

Moly,s loan up now would you try and keep hold of him or let him go back and what of the other,s.

Re: Loan players.

Yeh sure its up now Andy? were talking about this yesterday n no-one was really sure. personally if its up i would try extending for 1 more month, he aint the player he was by a long way, but would try one last month to see if he can return to the player we all loved. some thought he was on a longer loan though, if thats the case and he dont improve then he has to go in my view.

smudgie 04-01-2015 13:46

Re: Loan players.

I feel sorry for Lee.

He is such a cracking lad and has just been literally left on the scrap heap by a struggling Crewe team. Those 20 or so games when he kept us up, he really was on another planet.

No doubt he can be a match winner and I hope we can keep him for the rest of the season at least..... No doubt The snake will soon snap him up if not.

smudgie 04-01-2015 13:48

Re: Loan players.

As for the rest..........

Crooks......... Loan is up??
Maguire........ Extended till end of the month??
Barry........... Loan is up??

Re: Loan players.

Molyneux has been disappointing in both his loan returns, maybe his confidence has taken a knock, should have scored yesterday against Exeter. Maybe 2 years ago he would have done. Maybe Lee Molyneux regrets leaving Stanley in the first place, hindsight is a wonderful thing. I wouldn't mind him extending his loan with us till the end of the season, but his performances so far this season have mostly been poor.

accytom18 04-01-2015 13:54

Re: Loan players.

As for Crooks, Barry and Roddan they are not good enough. Roddan just can't get in the team, Anthony Barry...if he can't get in a Conference Premiership team how can he get in a League 2 team, just beyond me and a wasteful signing by Coleman. Oh and speaking of Matt Crooks I don't need to tell you how much he's messed up......

smudgie 04-01-2015 14:02

Re: Loan players.

I agree the others should go...... Roddan was only on a short term deal anyway.

No doubt there will be a few coming and going in the next few weeks.

Maybe he should play this back to himself to help him get his mojo back. Also the Youtube clip "lee molyneux goals"

Roddan was a short term signing not a loan or am I mistaken?

Re: Loan players.

Moly often comes into form late in the season; I think his goal at Stevenage the first time he's scored a goal for Stanley before the month of February in a football season.

So, based on his previous record, it's probably worth keeping him about or seeing if a deal can be struck with Crewe to get him back permanently because it's clear he has no future there. Perhaps a mutual termination allowing him to sign a contract with us?

Observing his demeanour during the warm up at Exeter I would suggest he showed no signs of being downhearted. But maybe that was because he was looking forward to no longer being asked to be a centre forward.

Moly's contract expires at the end of the season im 99.9% sure, unless Crewe have mutually agreed to terminate it. ?

As for Crooks, nothing personal against the lad, but he had no chance of making an impression playing in such an alien role, and has cashy says I just hope his confidence hasn't been knocked by the loan spell.

Oh dear. I sincerely hope that the money from those Manchester United tickets hasn't funded this loan extension.

It smacks of a jobs for the boys mentality and doesn't benefit the squad in any way.

Unless Joycey or Proc get injured he's just going to fester away on the bench between now and the end of the season - it's a waste of a wage.

I am sorry but please provide us with some further insight as to why anthony barry isnt league standard?

there are lots of good clubs in the conference who pay better wages than some league teams; because a player drops into the conference does not mean they are finished.

Brett Ormerod ring a bell?

Well said lots of good players out of league football, Barry not had a run in the side for different reasons but is a good squad player and sure won,t let us down if called upon.

[QUOTE=DAV007;1128682] because a player drops into the conference does not mean they are finished.QUOTE]

Yes, Davo, except Mr.Barry can't actually appear to be able to hold down a place at Forest Green Rovers.
So he's not good enough for the Conference, but fine for Stanley, is that what you're saying? Or are Stanley merely acting as a fitness club now for other teams?

Barry hadn't played a minute of football for FGR this season before joining Stanley on loan, if that counts as insight.

no it doesnt, there could be a whole host of reasons why.

darren bent hasnt played for villa this season, by your logic he isnt good enough for the premiership.
when the truth is he has a clause in his contract that would cost villa a small fortune.

I didn't say or implied it did. What I questioned was why Mr. Barry can't find a place in that squad. Or do you think he's good enough for Stanley but not good enough for FGR?

Apparently Preston want O'Sullivan on loan.

Sadly, I think Rovers will be of the opinion that he's proved himself in L2 and needs a tougher test so will want him to make the step up to L1 for the second half of the season before pushing for a first-team spot with them next campaign.
