Re: Southend Match Thread
Much more positive second half from the lads, we really stretched them on the break. Both Pierro and Josh were very prominent, a high work rate from them both, and Joycey battling for everything in the middle. Very good finish from Pierro, volleyed in from a move down our right, Gornell then ran on to a loose ball after their defenders had dithered and dinked it over the keeper. We then conceded right away but looked solid for the rest of the game. Vintage, defiant Stanley!

"We know from experience what tinpot no mark sides like Accrington and Morecambe come to try and do at Roots Hall" How many times have we heard this kind of thing from fans of so-called "big" clubs? It just makes beating them a little bit sweeter :) |
Re: Southend Match Thread
