That will be one hell of a kick in the teeth hope we've got a sell-on clause. There's a big article on him in The Derby Telegraph and apparently McLaren has been in Scotland scouting quite a bit recently!

To be honest he looks no where near good enough and isn't even doing it in the under 20s.

The fans are split between give him a chance as he's not match fit to looks like he should be collecting trolleys at Tescos.

Personally I would like to see him do well but I'm not sure he's good enough at the top level in big pressure games. It's hard to tell though as he's not getting games.

Sounds a similar story to when he first came to Stanley, remember all the moaning when we signed him? I was one who couldn't understand why on earth we'd brought him back but he proved me wrong - hope he gets his chance but if not, hope we've got first dibs on his return

That's pretty much what it's like. There is the chance he could come good but I don't think the system Warburton wants to play suits him.

Bit of gossip on a 'Gers forum yesterday about Crooks looking for a loan to get match fit. Mind you, it seems to have been started by the Scottish Sun () so believe it if you will.
