Saturday's Game!

Plenty of interest, according to Twitter, a few Bury and Blackburn fans want tickets.

The club are asking everyone to try and buy tickets before Saturday to avoid long queues...Supporters Club shop is open tomorrow at 9am and also extended office hours at the ground are going to be released tomorrow!

Let's get everyone from Accrington up to The Wham on Saturday and give the boys what they deserve, Surely every fan could encourage a newbie to come!

Fantastic and best of luck . Should be a cracker and especially with Blackburn fans and even some from Manchester ( Bury ) wanting tickets. Hyndburn & district needs the feel good factor and you lads are doing just that !

With regards to flexi tickets. These do not guarantee you entry into the match. Please take your flexi ticket to the club to be exchanged for a match ticket as soon as possible.
Also we are encouraging fans to buy tickets before Saturday, not to avoid queues but because we believe they will sell out before Saturday.

Mother in law has just been down and said it was absolute mayhem. We e-mailed to reserve tickets and have been ringing since before 10am this morning but again to no avail, think they've probably taken them off of the hook. Apparently no e-mails or voice mails have been replied too and only tickets left now are on The Coppice End, so looks like we're going to have to stand on there:mad:

I doubt it! ......................not very many seats in 2004, mostly standing on the far side, both ends and over half of what is currently the main stand ......perhaps just under/over 4,000?

I know what it was like in 2004 but the capacity is still 5057 unless reduced on police advice and way sales are going I think this could be a record crowd.

Re: Saturday's Game!

Got to say I'm not 100% happy with what's happened with mine and my father's tickets. My dad had the forethought to buy them the week before the Morecambe game. He bought the Morecambe, York and Satanage tickets all at the same time. Happy in the thought that we could sit down and be a part of Stanley's history.

Now my father is disabled and I go as his carer and we need to sit to watch the game. This has never been a problem previously, in fact we have our own usual seats. But on Sunday I see something on here about reserved seating (a decision made after we purchased our tickets). So we phoned the club to just make sure we were ok to sit. To be told the tickets say Clayton End Terrace and there's nothing we can do.

Not happy Accy Stanley, if there's anybody from the club reading this can you please try and sort something.

Are you a season ticket holder???? Obviously the game was going to be a sell out and surely you would have realised all seats would be reserved beforehand?

Re: Saturday's Game!

I bought mine from the club shop after the Morecambe game and, similar situation, I've ended up with standing tickets for me and my 3 (almost 4) yr old. I actually asked about reserved seating a couple of days later at reception and got told they didn't bother with it in the Clayton end.

First I heard about reserved seating was the post over the weekend. I tried calling but by the time I got through the Clayton end had sold out.

It's not ideal as I will now probably have to hold him for the game so he can see. But other people in this situation may not be as lucky.

It is what it is, but I guess it could have been handled a bit better.

I'm sure you'll both accept that, with a sell-out, the 'usual' may not always be possible.
However, I always understood that you could choose to stand or sit on the Clayton End. I'm not sure if Chopper's reference to 'not bothering' means that approach will still apply on Saturday or whether you either stand or you sit where you're allotted a specific seat number (do they even have seat numbers on the Clayton End?).
If that's the case, then get there early to get a seat.
But whatever the arrangements, knowing Stanley fans and Accrington folk, I'm sure there would be someone in a seat who'd be willing to let a disabled chap and/or a small child sit down if they were asked politely.
I'm lucky enough to have secured tickets for the Clayton End but don't know and don't care if I'm standing or sitting. But, if it's the latter, I'll be happy to swap if I see someone who's in more need.

Red-Osbornello 04-05-2016 13:42

Re: Saturday's Game!

I personally believe there will actually be a few seats free on the Clayton End. I assume there'll have been people who wanted Standing but had to make do with seating tickets once the standing section sold out. I doubt those people will stay in their seats and not attempt to get in the crowd.

I've seen them attempt to enforce "You have a standing ticket, you have a seating ticket" in the past and it didn't seem to work that well - and there wasn't as many people then!

Regardless, as Exile said, I don't think you'd struggle to find anyone willing to give up their seat to someone more in need.

Yes, of course I accept that.

I assumed that I would just have to get there early to get a seat. Because there isn't normally reserved seating on the clayton end.

My only (minor) gripe is that the reserved seating was only mentioned for the first time this weekend (that I'm aware of?), when tickets have been on sale for a few weeks.

A bit of forethought and it could have been avoided.

But I'm not complaining, I've got tickets, we'll be there, that's the main thing! A sore back and arms is a small price to pay to see Stanley in league one. [emoji16]

Managed to get 4 tickets from the market hall shop after pulling up at the club shop and seeing a long queue out of the door!

It's the first time I have visited the store in the market hall and it's a real credit to the club.
Great staff, good stock and competitive prices.

Thanks again to the staff who were still on site at 4.30pm and selling tickets, much appreciated.

Most of he seats on the left of the Altham End seem to be taken up by those coming to watch the half time kick-a-bout. My Season Ticket has a seat number on even though I ticked standing, not sure if many others are like this or if it means anything?

Does the Whinney Hill stand have seat numbers and will it be open? I tend to go there if there is a big crowd as access to the Altham End standing is a right ball ache if it is busy and too many people are penned in between the bars.

Thanks to the couple of accy webbers who have offered me the option to swap tickets. Much appreciated, I will be in touch at a more decent hour.

Does anyone know if the tickets/seats are numbered?

I imagine we will be nervous but so will oxford and Bristol rovers. they have to better our result whatever it may be. plenty of twists and turns through the game. hope that all the turnstiles at the jack barrett stand will be open. only 2 recently and this will not be sufficient.

If I could send a message to our lads I would say ." to the world you are just Accrington Stanley but to your fans Accrington Stanley you are our world. Good luck for tomorrow , you are almost there.

You're definitely not the only one F19, only just recovered from last week's game & the dread felt until that goal went in, hope it's not as nervy as that tomorrow but it probably will be - shows how far we've come when we'd be disappointed to be in the play-offs! :o

Like others have said, the team needs to have 100% support from the moment fans arrive at the ground. I can't wait.

I'm twitching and I won't be there to enjoy the sensation of being untwitched ( Is that a word Exile ?) by the Reds in whom I and Alfred.E have supreme confidence !.

All the best to our Team and every one of their fans !.

C'mon, admit it, how many of us breathed a sigh of relief when the Wimbledon manager was awarded manager of the month? I know I did, at least that is one monkey not hanging over us tomorrow afternoon. However, like most (if not all), I have had the pre-match nerves all week. Will be glad for the final whistle tomorrow afternoon, regardless of the result, to know whether we will be play-offs (which I hope not) or in League 1 (which I hope we are).

I am really nervous. Looking forward to it though. Just wish we had seats in the main stand as my 3 year old daughter does not understand that we won't be sitting near "Football Grandad" aka RevivedRed :D

Yeah! Thanks for that, but I think I'll pass on that one Choirboy. :D

That said, I could probably drive there from here but I don't fancy coming back with a car full of gimmegrants. ;)

Having a panic. Although I bought a ticket for my friend for match tomorrow a couple of weeks ago and stipulated Clayton end (wasn't sold out then either) I stupidly didn't look at it properly. Just got my season ticket out and ticket ready and noticed its for the coppice grrrrr. Anyone willing to swap a Clayton end ticket for a coppice end one?? Pleeeeaaassseeeeeee

I am so annoyed with myself for not checking at time but didn't think I needed to!!
