3-1 Stanley but if it does go to pens:

Kee, Windass (miss), Mingoia, Gornell, McCartan.

Nobody else want bonus points?

BBC recite more facts than I do ............ and I don't care for the last one!

Accrington have won four of their previous five home games against the Dons in the Football League (L1).

Wimbledon's solitary league victory away to Accrington came back in October, after the Dons triumphed in a seven goal thriller (4-3).

Stanley are unbeaten in their last seven league games at home (W3 D4), with clean sheets in each of the last two.

The Dons have kept clean sheets in their last two league away games and are unbeaten in their last four league away trips (W3 D1).

Accrington have now lost all three of their Football League play-off games, conceding four times and failing to score in all three.

Unlike The Wombles, AccyTom Holds On Without Scoring (Or Fouling)

"To Travel Hopefully Is Better Than To Arrive" and the League 2 travelling goes on next season, hopefully it'll be better .....

Or as Gene Pitney almost sang,

"We were only ...
22 minutes from Wembley ...
Only ....
A clean sheet away from a dream"
:hidewall:

You don't really expect me to be funny so soon after the lights went out on our hopes, surely? :( But in case anybody gives a damn ....

No outright pessimists this time, but Monkey Hanger and Kiwi John went and sat on the fence  (which effectively comes to much the same thing) so took 3 points as the Beast pretty much fulfilled the Boss' worst nightmare . The rest of us went looking for the win we needed :), with 2-0 the favourite score, so quite a few got a BP for our 2, and Stevie R got one for their 2, but none for the 3 he predicted for us. AccyTom18, sitting on a single point lead following his max 5 from the away leg, scored nowt this time, but as the only others with more than a point brought forward (Football19 on 4 and Red-Osbornello on 3) didn't make the bench for this game ,

:jimbo:Tom takes the non-existent prize with 5 points from the 2 games.:jimbo:

Kiwi and F19 share second place with 4, Monkey and Red are equal 4th on 3. AccyMad, Dave in Germany, Proccy Fan and Revived Red joint 6th on 2. The rest nowhere.

Clear message to the organisers not to bollix about with the rules :), as everyone except us spurned the chance of picking up BPs from a penalty shoot out (so we'd have won easily if there had been one ;)). Given the one penalty that did happen was scored by Josh, who I'd nominated to miss :o, I'll dock myself 5 points for that anyway and claim 25th and last spot in the table on -5.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, concludes the entertainment for another season. Roll on Blackpool, Cheltenham, Colchester, Crewe, Doncaster and Grimsby - not necessarily in that order. On Stanley On!!

:alright:

As long as we don't get Yeovil or Exeter or Plymouth (if they lose the playoff final) home and away on a Tuesday night!
