Great 3pts, considering Doncaster played the better football, the winning goal was a cracker, fair play, we need a couple of changes against Bradford though imho.

Steady, boys, bit early for this. Great three points. Can anyone provide the low down on who impressed?

Excellant result against a not so long ago championship and very quick good side after typical 1st game of season early nerves I thought we looked good in spells and think we will do well again this season when we really get going personally I thought Scotty brown was immense and the lad on the right Clarke looked usefull, Omar and Hughsey looked good and if it had,nt have been a bit of a nervous display from Chapman we would have won more convincinley.

C'mon Cashy, even you have to admit Sean had a cracking game polished off with a cracking goal, always knew he had it in him :)
Jordan Clark was also impressive, this was obviously also noted by Rovers as they did their best to nobble him!
When it went to 2 apiece I was worried as at that point they were playing us off the park but our lads did brilliantly - few teething problems but at the end of the day a bloody good result against a side who were obviously expecting to beat us, about time we had a bit of luck on our side - happy bunny tonight :)

What a brilliant result, ripped me off for 5 points on the prediction league but I'll take it any day of the week and 2600+ gate, onwards and upwards Stanley.

Great win, always makes it better when you overhear their fans calling the ground a ****hole and glad we will only be coming here once, remember Portsmouth fans saying the same, they will be back for the third time later in the season :D

Rommy looked very sharp in the middle three of a 4-2-3-1 for an hour before tiring, he intelligently found the space for the first goal. Hughesy worries me with his lack of pace, but his positional sense is good and he made a vital goal-line clearance from a corner at the end of the first half. Thought Beckles and Pearson were totally solid, the new right-back did well though again tired and Coley was right to take him off. Clark did very well wide right, very energetic and proved he could beat a man. Coneelly and Brown did their usual thing in the middle, Seamus very composed, Brown closing down at every opportunity.

Thought the lads did extremely well to neutralise Doncaster second half until the final stages, and to come back after conceding the second equaliser showed tremendous character. The opposition have one of the biggest budgets in the 4th division, so it was no mean feat to compete as we did.

Never straight forward watching Stanley, that's for sure.

Firstly big thanks to Andy Holt and team, what they have achieved in 9 weeks since the Wimbledon game is nothing short of a miracle. Cannot wait to see what's in store for the next project.

As for the game itself, totally agree with cashman. Thought we where the 2nd best side for the majority of the game, not that it matters at the end of 97 minutes. No doubt Donny will be up there come May in my humble opinion. Fair play to them for travelling in such fantastic numbers.

Thought Brown was fantastic in the middle of the park, though obviously tired with the rest of the team after 70 minutes. As others have said, Chapman looked over the place, hopefully its first game nerves, (along with a few others across the back four) but fair play to him for saving the penalty.

Also fair play to our favourite Mcconville who actually had a half decent game for once, great finish for the winner. I just hope he doesn't rest on his laurels after that, as there is no doubt we now have some serious competition for places throughout the squad.

Will be interesting to see the XI Coley puts out on Tuesday night.

Just for the record Smudgie, I see you've replaced Buxton with Shay McCarten on your avatar - if he leaves Stanley anytime soon I'm holding you personally responsible
