Great win against a strong team, it's all coming together now so I am now looking towards the top rather than bottom end of table this season. Defence and keeper where a solid unit today, mcconville has hit form with some great balls into the box, boco is a great sub, having a positive impact every game he comes on.

Bloody brilliant result, well played lads - despite the usual ref's performance we came out, deservedly, on top!! Don't mind admitting I was nonplussed by Lacey's inclusion in the starting 11 but fair play to the lad, he scored a cracker & if he's got that in his locker all I can say is cart on :)

Great to see the highlights from Sky, but why did they show Lacey's goal first and then the first half afterwards. This after watching the highlights on Channel 5:confused:
Otherwise a cracking performance by Stanley and sticking one over the 5 ex Stanley players and management team is even sweeter. Good crowd too.

Old Snakey is feeling the heat....that's for sure.....Pompey came....saw.....and toddled orf back doon sarf with sweet F.A.....:D

The pieces of the Jigsaw are slowly slotting into place....still think we're lacking another goalscorer to supplement what is developing.....but I'm sure that won't go un-noticed..........:o

Last season was painful......oh so near .....but sadly ...so far.....

Getting a warm feeling that we have the potential to get up by the Auto's...

If we're making a few bob from the League cup game with the Hammers....it might pay dividends to invest in a snatch on a striker ( next window ) who can push us over the line !!!

We also must make sure we don't get turned over again.... like we did when Rangers robbed us of two of the best players I've seen in a red shirt .....

i.e. make sure we don't get shafted for a pittance for young quality players... make sure players have longer contracts that will at least ensure we get proper market value when such player moves on to "greener" pastures

not the most exciting game as coley said both sides were cancelling each other out and not many chances for both sides. thought the ref had a decent game however as both sides seemed up for it and kept a lid on it. also didn,t stop the game for petty fouls to make it even worse. take 3 points every day rather than involved in a cracker of a game that we lost.

Missed the game yesterday due to a wedding however what a great result. Looked a screamer of a goal.

I think for me (from the 1 minute of TV highlights ive seen) the most important thing seems to be the team spirit of the lads. Even the subs seem to running around with a smile on their face which is great to see.

Im actually quietly confident we can pull it off during the week.

What do the die hards think of Jordan Clark ? Not going to lie got a bit of rose tinted glasses about me having known him all his life but I think he's a shrewd signing. Only 22 but already has experienced L2 promotion and a long season diesnt phase him. He got a raw deal at Shrewsbury and the fans were surprised he was let go. There's more to come ...... The more he plays his confidence will grow.

Clark for me is a very good addition.

I was surprised to see both Vyner and Donacien playing out of position but it seemed to work. I am still not fully convinced by Beckles - his defending is ok but his distribution was decidedly iffy yesterday.

And I just cannot agree that the referee had a "decent game". I thought he was totally inept. Tom Davies had his arms around Billy Kee so often that one could have thought they were in a relationship. Tom seemed to be amused by what he was getting away with.

Sad to see Gary Roberts so ineffective. He just didn't have the legs yesterday.

Seconded regarding the ref - yet another incompetent plonker who let Portsmouth get away with murder!
