Match Thread FA Cup Round 1 v Bradford City
A welcome change from matches in League Two but still an important match from Stanley's point of view.
After a poor performance and result last weekend v Newport it will be interesting to see what the starting eleven and the players on the bench will be that Coley and Jimmy put out tomorrow. Stanley need to restore the faith of our supporters with a very positive display tomorrow. Our 'Away' form has been quite good this season so we should all look forward to our boys doing well tomorrow. Coley has suggested on the 'Fishy' site that he might change the 'Personnel' in order for our lads to be more positive. Let's hope so. As travelling supporters we can play our part too by being positive and by getting behind the team vocally and by flying the red and white colours. Last Saturday I was one of the few still singing, after the match, that wonderful refrain..... "Stanley 'til I die....I'm Stanley 'til I die..... I know I am, I'm sure I am, I'm Stanley 'til I die!":alright: But let's hope we are singing it all the way home tomorrow evening with a victory and an eye on the Second Round Draw!:hothothot ON STANLEY ON:theband: KEEP THE FAITH:cheers: STANLEY 'TIL I DIE:wave8::drink::signbeer: |

will be very interested to see what the starting line up is and if the changes that are made are not enforced by loan players not being allowed to play. we usually do ok at bradford but they seem to be finding the net with 6 goals in the last 2 games. got to be positive as there,s no point going otherwise.

Good luck to the lads today, whoever is playing - unfortunately can't be there as I'd hoped but after the advice from fellow Stanley fans the other week I will be glued to Dan's live text commentary - COYR!!

Ah, the magic of the cup!
It could not be setup any better. Bradford, all cock and swagger after their recent form. Stanley smarting from last week, but playing away from home. I think we'll get an early goal, face a barrage for the next hour then nick a late one. We've already arranged a quick getaway back across the Pennines for a Didsbury ****up celebration (with a Bradford fan in tow). The Punk IPA is on ice.... Let's get reaaaadddy to rumble. |

Re: Match Thread FA Cup Round 1 v Bradford City
Just been listening to Dan on radio lancs and people want to why Chris Eagles is not even in the squad, The changes are enforced due to injury. At least Mark Hughes is getting a run out. The experienced players we have are not getting a look in. When other people are noticing that experienced higher league players are not even making the bench it does need some explanation from our manager. Todays game it has been suggested a 3-5-2 is the way to take today's match. Good luck Stanley I can't be there today. We need to have a discussion on the quality of referees and other officials given there is a severe shortage of officials. Radio lancs made some interesting comments. Perhaps a sensible thread.
