Re: Yeovil town thread
Ps, I am so frustrated that I have been forced to crack open a second "Ace of Equinox" IPA (bargain price from Morrisons) to ease the pain. I don't anticipate it being the last.
Reckon the only way I'm going to get through this is by going to Morecambe and watching Stanley dismantle them. Roll on Tuesday. |
Re: Yeovil town thread
Ps, win on Tuesday and we move up two places. FACT.

Good point, did not expect to be 13 clear with games in hand at this point 2 months ago.

Cheers for the link Mab, good play for our goal but unfortunately we can't have any complaints about Scott's red card - & Omar, what's with the top-knot? :)

Re: Yeovil town thread
No doubt whatsoever about Brown's red card. It wasn't a bad tackle - it wasn't even a tackle. Simply a totally unnecessary kick. I hope that JC disciplines him.
I was surprised to see Clark taken off - he had been a real threat. But it proved to be a shrewd tactical move as we moved to a 5-2-1-1 formation. The back 5 were tremendous. Matty Pearson was certainly man-of-the-match with Mark Hughes a very close second. The Don also played well and made some great forward runs even when Yeovil were pressing. It was a well-earned point. And a quick word about the assistant referee running the line in front of us. Abysmal. |

Re: Yeovil town thread
Sitting next to Revived Red again and we clearly watched the same game. Good summary.
Shocking and unnecessary lunge from Brown but, from the first 20 minutes, even with 11 men I'm not sure Stanley would have had an easy afternoon. As it was, it was made more difficult but the 10 men were magnificent in their defence. Rodik was again excellent and made a couple of brilliant saves. The subs were both timely and very effective. With a bit more time on the field Husin showed some nice touches and clearly has a lot of skill and energy. In Brown's absence he may flourish. And Donacien really made a difference. Rodgers had been having a really frantic time down in our right back area but Donacien came on to take up the left back role and allowed 'Man Mountain' Pearson to help nullify their threat down the left wing. In the middle Messrs Hughes and Beckles had a big lumbering No.9 to contend with but they saw him subbed (maybe the cows needed milking early), and then had to handle the more experienced Akpo, which they did. Also have to mention Billy Kee's 'one-man army' up front. Yet again he got no leeway from the ref but he never stopped battling. Great point but it'll be up and at 'em again on Tuesday night. |

Has anyone else noticed that literally every goal we've ever conceded whilst donacien is in the pitch he holds his hands out as if to blame somebody else?

Re: Yeovil town thread
I don't rate Donacien , One to release in the summer
