Come on dav007 there's making mistakes, than there's taking drugs! No sympathy for him at all! He knew what he was doing! He got caught and the right action was taken! Simple! Stupid being a professional football player and chucking it all away!

So he fell onto the coke and accidentally sniffed it up did he, was you there when he did seens as you think there's make too it? He knew what he's was doing, he knew the punishments for getting caught, he got in trouble at narrow for punching a fan and now this, he obviously doesn't learn from mistakes, he's had 2 chances at football clubs and both times he let them down, he'll be staking shelves at rescout for rest of his life now he's getting a reputation

Im not sure if any of you are aware of what was going on in paddy's private life before and during the alleged incident.

There are 2 sides to every story

Stanley is more than a football club, its a family who looks after its own

You look after him, Davo, he obviously needs someone with your innate wisdom to put on the straight and narrow.

I quite liked Lacey, the very little I saw, and thought he may have had some potential. But he's barely had one season at Stanley and less than a handful of appearances, and I don't regard that as making a bit-part, player "one of us".

Hope he gets his life sorted, but he's further from being a Stanley legend than even you, Davo.:rolleyes:

Yes he was going through personal issues and illness but that's what the club is there for he could of confided in them and they would of helped, like they did with buzzer when he was a recovering alcoholic, but no he had to go do stupid like taking drugs

i do agree with you st06nc2, but i think people need to look at the bigger picture.

Paddy is young enough to still have a decent career in the game

He messed up at barrow by punching a fan, he messed up at Stanley by taking drugs, he's got a bad reputation, who's going to take him on

Part of the bigger picture is that 1000s of lads would love the chance of being a pro footballer and for one reason or other don,t make it or can,t make it. save your sympathy for these or the little kid in the stanley shirt who was mascot at burnley yesterday.
