usually darren deadloss does us no favours but was not too bad when we had him earlier this season. looking at lutons discipline record they should give him more grief than we we will especially if certain players keep on their feet.

Think you are mixing up Darren Deadman ( now retired) with RAF officer Darren Drysdale.

Darren last had us at Grimsby away and I'm sure has been to the Wham this season.

i,ve always got the two mixed up as their performances are or were quite similar.

Darren Deadman had our home FA Cup game v Luton; which ended in the fog!!

Just noticed we're likely to be up against Lloyd Jones. I thought he was class for us. Loved the equalizer against the Shrimps.

I think a lot will rest on how well Dunne manages Hylton tomorrow.

Hopefully we can nick a point.

danny hylton is one of those annoying types who always seems to have a good game against us whoever he plays for. one thing however he will not bully jimmy dunne like he has done with some.

Maybe so, but he scored 2 against us earlier in the season and like Bayo, he scores against us regularly!!

Has to be marshaled out of the game by Hughesy - if he plays????

Outrageous Mi'Lord!!! Please ask Blenkinsop to have a word with Billy in the bar next Saturday.
Certainly caught the keeper by surprise........he's not used to dealing with such lazy shots on goal......Still as Billy said to me only the other day, why take seven strides and score when you can take three and score!!!!!!! 🤣

Locked in for 35 minutes when we came out we were parked at the bottom of the street at the Tory club we were advised by the police not to walk down give it 5 minutes whilst we get rid of the nutters at the bottom corner peppered sprayed one idiot then walked us down the street got to car at 6-40 scum not true Luton fans as before in the club they were all very friendly as for the game we deserved to win we scored more than them fantastic support again out singing a capacity Kenilworth road.

Re: Luton Town Match Thread

Thanks for the link Mike. What it does show is how little Luton were able to hurt us, especially second half. Sure we conceded a lot of possession, and they knocked it around confidently as you would expect of a side at home who’d been top since November. But we stopped them playing through the middle in the final third, and crosses into the box did us little harm. Difficult to see from the vid, but the goalline clearance from Jimmy D was a Hail Mary moment, the ball was actually past him but he flicked a heel out and diverted it over the bar.
Not a classic game by any means but tight and tense throughout. Once Stanley got through the first 10 mins the first half evened out, and the frustrating thing was that their equaliser came just when we had got the upper hand in the second. But the memory of Billy’s fizzer nestling in the corner of the net will stay with me for a long time.

Just popped into the LET website, our lads did an amazing thing yesterday knocking Luton off the top after they've dominated the league since November & yet not even a mention on there, never mind a report!
Plenty of coverage of Rovers & Burnley games but no doubt it'll be at least tomorrow before we're thought about - so frustrating!

85 has to be the minimum target.
There are so many games where sides play each other.
Mansfield away and Wycombe massive games.

I parked in the B&Q yesterday about a mile and a half from the ground. Always have done never a problem. However yesterday there was a bit of tension in the air so was glad to get on the A505 / M1 and heading for home.
Luton are a good side. We rode our luck at times but you cannot take away from this group the never say die attitude.
Carry that through the next 10 games and we're home and dry.
Got to capitalise on the next three. 7 points please.

Re: Luton Town Match Thread

A bit late.... as usual ?...but nevertheless ecstatic !

Guess what ?, I had a 'then and now ' moment when the League 2 Table flashed up on my tv screen last evening !.
My mind went back to that awful day when Ilyas Khan's generous intervention, made when our club was at the mercy of HMRC and almost ceased to exist !, made sure that Football League membership prevailed for the Reds ! . I sensed a slight shiver as I remembered the faces of our fans on the Car Park just prior to this event, all feeling a sense of imminent loss !. This was 'then', and a time in our Club's history that must never be forgotten ?.

NOW ?.. Well that is all to do with another sense, this time however it is one of immense satisfaction and pride, to see the Club I remember from my first paragraph now transformed into a solid and successful unit fit to take on and defeat any of their rivals in our League !
They are on top... and I have been here to see it !.

I am tempted to continue with this outpouring of sentimentality and congratulations to all at t'Stanley....but I mustn't (football19 would never forgive me ! )...

All I can say, is what I shouted at the tv set last night....WOW !!!.

KTF!.

ON STANLEY !..ON TO GREATER THINGS !.

I sensed a slight shiver as I remembered the faces of our fans on the Car Park just prior to this event, all feeling a sense of imminent loss !. How right you are. As I came back on the train from Luton, I reflected on the contribution of Ilyas Kahn to the club's very survival. Amidst the present euphoria, that must NEVER be forgotten.

Incidentally, I was astonished at the number of people who mentioned Stanley's success to me as I crossed London. One young man was disappointed that we had won as he had had backed us for a draw - but said he was not too bothered as backing Stanley had earned him a fortune from the bookies this season. :D:D:D

Whoever said 85 points is probably correct - that's the number of points where only a miracle would stop us.

I reckon 82 will probably do it.
